Not so long now until the Silver Shadow special at Telford!!!! After the success of last year and the many winners including 1st Midland National plus £5000 reported already could be one of the best sales this year.

On saturday a gentleman who was wearing distingtive dark glasses at the Edingburgh show was given lot 30 by mistake when he purchased lot 29, lot 30 belongs to Karen Newcombe. The dark glasses are the type you wear when you have an intolerance to sun light. He had grey hair in his late 50/early 60's at a guess. Can anyone help to his identity. Regards Stuart Wilcox

If you look on Pipa you will see a small article on Frans Zwols, its theme is his domination of the later races, ie later in the season esp ybs when the distance is greater. I have also had this experience with his pigeons, in the last 4 races over the last 3 seasons i have been 9 x 1st and 3 x 2nd in the club and won 4 x 1st WOESRC upto 5000 birds, they obviuosely suit these longer yb races where as in England they fly for big money. Keep an eye open for Frans Zwols at Doncaster.

I have a cock who is 14 year old, he was 6th National 17th International Barcelona in his day, i hope i get some off him this year.

Have crossed 2 Koopman Van Dyck lines with the frans zwols with some really good results, my Ace YB of the WOESRC 2009 is a koopman x Zwols!!! Paid £250 each for mine but had to call in a favour or two at that price!!!!!

They breed Koopmans good breeding hen called Amira, my friend in Germany Ype Hemstra has plenty of them.
