Lets be honest lads they shouldnt have been there in the first place! But for the RPRA to now say you can tamper/alter the ring is beyond me. The committee in my opinion jumped the gun on these rings whether they were cheaper I dont know, but the same OLD DEPENDABLE style ring is still available and should in my humble opinion be the main ring distribution for the RPRA membership, then those that have ETS will continue to purchase the rings they need for racing on that system. Simple's

Well done to everyone involved, fantastic
-
Ive done exactly the same before and so has probably 90% of fanciers. I have found the birds that have raced in the past tend to come back if their previous home has gone, but if theyve always been prisoners never see them again. Good luck and fingers crossed

Yes your right we were there last night for a fund raiser and had a fantastic supper! proper food aswell! gotta be worth the visit for the supper alone.

dont for 1 minute imagine the perigrine thinks like a human it catches whatever it can to survive and our birds are easiest because they home to 1 place and its a ready made food source, liberated at the same time every day and returning to the same spot every time, just like the bears do in canada year in year out feast on the salmon the perigrine is feasting on our birds! There is no legal answer at the moment to the rapter problem, the RSPB will tell you there are only a 1/4 of the pairs that there actually are and continue to release both perigrines and sparrow hawks, not for the good of the bird population only the raptor! WHY DO WE NEED RAPTORS ANYWAY???? WHAT GOOD ARE THEY??? AND WHAT CONTROLS THERE NUMBERS??? Sparrow hawks have got to be the biggest single killer of small garden and songbirds ever seen, they are far superior to pesticides and cats! but still they continue to release them. The only answer open to us at the moment is too have the RPRA and other unions lobby parliment, our local mp's should this year bend over backwards to help anyone who asks them being an election year, its the only way at the moment.

BIGK replied to KuSBaZ's topic in Fancy & Show Pigeons
Very nice looking birds, are they a flying breed? -
neither have turned up this week!! homing world still missing from last week aswell, im going to cancel them with the papershop and go direct i think
-
Marimans youngbird no maize fantastic corn wouldnt feed y/bs out else
-
used chicken layers pellets for years, breeding, weaning and racing, i usually mix 2 baby milk tins of corn to 1 of pellets,
-
weather/temperature is the biggest factor just follow the wild blrds they aint thinking of laying yet are they, we can only change certain parts of the birds environment but theyll only lay when they believe its the best to do so with survival of their young utmost in their thoughts.
-
Its the Ethylene Glycol in the anti-freeze thats poisons them and they may have changed that constituant as it is highly poisonous
-
Absolutely first class, Pigeon Paradise well done!!
-
Hello everyone I no im maybe preaching to the converted but if you get any stray youngbirds in PLEASE dont forgot to check for wing stamps. Thanks
-
Thats if its there, structural faults in the building has stopped the summer entertainment some has been cancelled !!
-
Beautiful, well done
-
Thats were im going wrong, just get them used to not eating and they die!!!!! lol Its a very fine line with youngbirds too much and there are a pain in the *expletive removed* too little and they dont develop, problem is this time of the year the hawks about so keeping them a little short means there keen to come home if theyve been spooked. Feed everything twice a day.
