  10. happy valentines to you too and all. :K)
  11. lovely start mate.
  12. P.S. the other best tip i had was letting the young birds out as early as possible, even while they are still in the nest (YOU MUST NOT LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED) put them in a basket for an hour or two while cleening the loft on top of the loft & take them infront of the loft in the basket so they can see where the loft is & let them walk back in.
  13. as was said earlier, DONT RUN BEFORE YOU CAN WALK....... my advice is just take things slowly, i know that its hard because you want everything done like all the experienced fanciers. BUT DONT!! one of my regretable mistakes was training my young birds too soon (pushing them too far too soon). i will never do this again. let them get well homed round the loft before the first training toss, and make the first traing toss as short as you wish (2 miles the first 3 times, then 5 miles, then 10 miles & so on. dont think that you have to take them to 20 miles the first toss. be very patient. good luck.... and the best tip i ever had was putting cut fresh garlic cloves in the water 24 hours before you give them.
  14. i will keep looking, well done mate ;D
  15. thank you all. sorted thanks to all your help ;D
  16. hia, just wondering if anyone can help? my brother has offered to make me some nest boxes, so i can put the plastic widowhood fronts on. can anyone tell me the sizes please of the boxes: height, width & depth. thank you. ;D
  17. The first Four Chicks Have just Hatched, these are all from top quality birds, the birds i bred them from came from a man who does releases for the queen & armed forces, these birds grandsires & great grandsires have flown from barcelona, these are the real Mcoy, the gentleman does not sell these birds to anyone and has retired from racing. there is no pedigree but i can assure you these are 100% genuine & you will not be dissapointed. as pecked hen (sue) can vouch for me. these will be 25.00 pound each plus carraige. or collect for free. these will be ready in about 4-5 weeks, first to pm me will be given first choice. i will tomorrow put some pictures on, regarding the camera is still working, as my cheap camera does the pictures no justice. thanks. i am in birmingham, not too far from junction 7 m6. thanks. gez.
