any good clubs to join where you can race good distance birds,???? instead of your local club??

Great reading all, like rose said, i think as long as the blood is there as in (distance) breeding 2 good distance birds together regardless af strain who cares. i will be racing my distance birds taking them seriously this year for the first time, as these are from distance blood, putmans, kirkpatricks, & now they are 2 year olds, i think they might (hope) start performing for us,. as we have taken them easy for the first two years, just a couple of chanel races last year. thanks again, great post.

a good idea is to take them out the loft as often as possible in a basket & face it towards the loft, so they can see where they live,. as they wont have a clue how to get back in if they havent been out before.

me about 11 yrs old, my uncle george finn used to race pigeons, i started with a few muffed. i was that scared to let this squeeker go (snowy) a pure white muffed, my dad tied a bit of cotton on to the clip on ring.

looks like a garden dove to me
