  11. Chris Prior to my Club purchasing the TauRIS systems we compared the specs and the prices of both and found that with the money we had available we were better off going with TauRIS. This still gave us a full option spec the same as any other system on the market, plus it allowed us to purchase additional club equipment. Roundo.
  12. Our Club opted for the TauRIS system. I'm not saying that it's any better than any other system available, but it was right for us at the time........price, functions etc...... The service that we've had from them has been first class and I know that other clubs who have recently purchased TauRIS have said the same. Roundo.
  13. Sunday's Sale is looking to have over 40 first class yb's from some of the countries best National and Federation fliers. "You've got to be in it to win it" Roundo.
  14. Pompey Mick, Yes, I applied at the beginning of the year for a grant for my club. Within six weeks of me sending to them I received a letter to confirm that I was successful and that the money would be in the Club account in a matter of a few weeks. The only real hint that I would give to anyone who itends to apply is to read the info pack and the instructions over and over again and be very clear of what they require. Also, be very honest with the information that you supply on the application form. They will get in touch with the applicant if they require any other info that may have been missed. I have heard of Clubs being refused first time round, but have succeeded the second time...............Good Luck!!!! Roundo.

  18. I will have for sale a limited number of yb's direct from my stock birds, ready end of April onwards. Best of M&D Evans bloodlines. Priced to race. Pm for details if interested. Roundo.
  19. When we talk about being "priced" out the game I don't think it's just the way we time our birds. You just have to look at some of the prices that are being asked for pigeons these days...........it's crazy. No wonder there isn't younger people joining the sport........they can't afford it. Just because ETS is being slowly accepted, it doesn't mean everyone has to use it. Roundo.
  20. Bruno, Totally agree with you on that one. Roundo.
  21. Mike, So, is it not the case that you have an advantage over an elderly fancier?? You can certainly move alot quicker to time in that what an elderly fancier can, but if the two pigeons were to come together I would expect you to time before he would.......that's if they both have good traps. Some fanciers have T3's strapped to them on race day, but you can't do that with an STB or a Toulet................you can ask the question if that's fair?? You'll never have a level playing field in pigeon racing, we all have to accept that. For your info, there was no extra cost for me to alter my lofts to accomodate ETS. You will find that the dealers will do all they can to start fanciers with the systems, that goes for the price as well. When you compare the price of a new T3 these days it isn't much more for all the ETS equipment. Roundo.
  22. The MaXX system was never passed in the first place by the SHU. What we are referring to is the Memory Module that you connect to the Compakt System, which is approved. If you were to ask the SHU about the Memory Module they will say that it's approved. TauRIS MaXX is a completely different unit from the Compakt. Hope this clears this small issue up with anyone that is using it or are intending to?? Roundo.
  23. I've had it confirmed through the SHU that the TauRIS Memory Module has been passed by them. Just to clear up any doubts that TauRIS users may have. Roundo.
  24. Mike, Our Club members had to pay nothing towards the Systems......not a single penny. I applied for a lottery grant for the Club through "Awards for All Scotland" and was successful in doing so. Roundo.
  25. Chris, I won't lose sleep over it either, but all the personal attacks have stemmed from a simple message posting. At the end of the day if your birds aren't good enough then it doesn't matter what timing method you use. Each to their own. You never know, you could be using ETS in your Club very soon.
