  2. Roundo

    oldest bird

8yr old stock cock is my oldest. Think the oldest I've ever had was 12yr old.
  3. I thought I'd let the members see my dad's new cat deterrent for at the race lofts. Wee 'Murphy' is only 5wks old and sure to grow up to be a great guard dog for the doos. The older dog is my very own guard dog 'Eilidh' who certainly doesn't like cats.
  4. Some cracking looking old favourites. Great to see.
  5. Hi there, Yes, it was nice to speak to you also and I did eventually pass the haggis to it's new owner (PB member), who I know is still eating yet, but it was good stuff. The old favourite originates from the best of Mike Donachie's distance family as did most of my Uncles channel winners. Cheers, Colin.
  6. Thanks for that. I've never entered him in a show, not sure if my Uncle did. Colin.
  7. 'John Boy' was raced by my late Uncle and now enjoys his happy retirement in my stock loft. He was a winner of numerous prizes, including 1st Club, 1st Federation, 1st Region D, 105th East Section, 142nd Open SNFC Newbury Inland National 5,369 birds competing, flying 326mls 1186 yards. I've got my fingers crossed his off spring can do the same. Have any of the members got their own favourites? Colin.
  8. Absolute belters!!! Just a pity your footie team isn't as good as your birds ;D ;D ;D ;D See you soon.
  9. Youngsters are looking really good. I'm looking forward to my first hatch.......a few days yet!!! Best of luck. Colin.
  10. Thanks very much for that. I think I'll give it a miss for the time being. Colin.
  11. Do any of the members buy their pigeon supplies from them? Are their prices reasonable? I was thinking of taking a trip through from Edinburgh one weekend to have a look at their pigeon range, but I don't want it to be a wasted journey. Any info would be much appreciated. Colin.
  12. Very nice pictures and some cracking looking birds. Well done. Colin.
  13. Travelling down on the Saturday for the day, but don't have any urges to attend any sales. There's far too many birds for sale over the weekend.........not all will be sold!!! Lets hope it's a good show as I'm certainly looking forward to it, especially meeting up with other doo men. Have a good one. Colin.
  14. Both birds are now sold. Thanks.
  15. Thanks for that Wiley. If circumstances had been different this birds wouldn't be for sale. Regards, Colin.
  16. Sorry, I'm unable to answer that one for you. Original pedigree will be supplied. Colin.
  17. Blue Gaby cock is sold. Didn't think he'd take long to sell. Thanks, Colin.
  18. My mistake, should have said 'cocks'.........well spotted. Colin.

    2009

Happy New Year to everyone. All the very best for 2009. Colin.
  25. Hi Dougie, Before I ordered the perches from Mutley I went through to see them first, but it only took me minutes to order a load, we were totally impressed with them. He did have other perches and boxes on show, but it really depends on what you're after. I'm sure if he didn't have what you were looking for it wouldn't take him long to have it ready. When I ordered my perches he had some available and I think I waited 1-2 days for the rest, plus they were delivered right to the race lofts. Top quality fittings from a real genuine guy. I'd recommend him to anyone. Cheers, Colin.
