Marc, Thanks for that mate. That's what you call a joint effort, you breed them & I'll race them. I made a statement to my Dad at the start of the year that I would score with your VDR birds and here you have it......1st Club, 1st Fed. Not only that, I took 2nd Fed with my good Gaby hen, both birds being well clear in the Central Fed and a good bit clear from a joint lib of over 1700 birds. I did say to you when I got the birds that the quality was top class and they've proved it. The members are sure to pick up real bargains when you sell the '08' birds, I'd be up for some if I had the room. Thanks again Marc. Colin. PS. Received a text today from big Jim to say him and his dad had topped the Fed. It couldn't have happened to two nicer people. Well done lads!!!! Colin.

12 out of 12 from Ripon with Central Fed, plus one from the week before. Well pleased with them today. Lets hope the SNFC birds get up tomorrow.

What a fantastic day it has been!!!! It's been football all day for me, my boys playing in the morning, then back to celibrate the "Mighty Gers" winning the league. The absolute best!!!!

Marc, He's an absolute belter of a pigeon, sure to grace any stock loft in the UK. I'm pretty sure with the right partner that he'll breed the goods and he still has a good few years left in him yet. Think you could be right. When Mike sent the hen up to me as a yb (04), he gave me his word that she would breed winners for me........he was spot on!!! This is only her 3rd mate in five seasons with me, producing winners with the previous two, time will tell with her new Tasker mate. Colin.

Sorry Mick, don't agree with you on that one. I've had loads of stray pigeons come into my lofts (with ETS rings) and I always give them the chance to rest up for a day or so, feed & water etc. When I release the pigeon I either put an old rubber or a split ring on one of it's legs, so at least the owner will know if the bird returns. Never once have I removed the ETS ring, especially not as payment for it's overnight lodgings. Each to their own I suppose!!!!

You're having a laugh!!!!! You obviously don't know me or my birds. If the guy who looked after my bird as you suggest wanted paid for it all he had to do was ask, I don't think taking the ETS ring is the answer. Not to worry though............life goes on, with or without scum like this. Colin.

A yearling hen that I dropped two weeks ago turned up this morning and you'll never guess? the ETS ring has been removed....... Why do fancier do this? Are they that desperate for a ring? Times must be tough!!!!!

I have received some offers for the pad & rings, unfortunately not as much as I would like. To buy a quadruple pad from new could cost you more than £140. As this is the last remaining equipment I have I'm prepared to offer it for £80 to the first person interested. Colin.

It certainly was our very own Mutley. Called him one day and within a couple of days he had them ready. He's some man!!!! Colin.

Here are pictures of my boy's newly erected YB Loft plus some of their new arrivals, all from my stock loft. They spent yesterday afternoon sharing out the birds between themselves and their cousin. I'm sure they will take the responsibility to look after and care for their birds......you never know they might even beat their Dad & Grandad on race days. The competition is hotting up!!!!
