Son - in - law had a debate at the 'Country Fair' with the man flying the Peregrine. It took of and caught a pheasant about 50 yards away. Couldn't do nothing about it or get it to come back till it had eaten it's head. Said they never give up on a chance to eat a Pheasants head etc. Like a fox will.

When the general RPRA manage was press as to why they were having the 'Hawk' located and logged he reply was simply 'To let any new starter, especially the younger generation where the best Locations were to set up! :-/ :-/ And presumably where the worst were!!! :o Indeed the actaul fact is, was, is and will continue to be codswallops and totally useless. When asked if the RPRA would help those in bad location to move to better locations he politely ended the conversation forth with and hung up. Mind he has no pigeons to fly!

- Didn't like shopping there anyway Yesterday I was at my local Sainsbury's buying a large bag of Purina dog food for my loyal pet and was in the checkout queue when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had an elephant? So, since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn’t, because I ended up in hospital last time, but that I'd lost 2 stones before I woke up in intensive care with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in queue was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked me if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's *expletive removed* and a car hit us both. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. I'm now banned from Sainsbury's. Better watch what you ask retired people. We have all the time in the world to think of daft things to say.

Well I have to send away some smear tests of my dropping for 'Bowel cancer' test next week ... was wondering if I substitie for the birds dropping and get a decent result lol ;) :P ;D ;D ;D

A would get the odd one, not many times though for A. they would become ready for coditioning and he wouldn't know. B. when they brought them selves into great condition he'd be thinking it was because of something else, and most likely cock it up. He would deffinately not be able to keep them on song. B.on the other hand will have his birds there abouts every week and 75% of the time some on super form. This would be far too much for A. However the reality is also that B. would soon have a very ood honed family whereas A would always be willy nilly.

the saying 'It isn't he that tries and fails that is beaten,.... but he that does take part is a defeatist. A bird that battles and deserves merit, Like Tony C. says is a winner to me. If from Thurso in a westerly wind a birds in Anglecy is beaten by a bird in lowerstoft by say 50 ypm, I know well the real winner, and it won't be the East Coast Club bird.... though that will be a winner too, but not the better bird on the day and that's for sure.

Well flying 80 miles in the East of the winner in a Westerly wind, say like in a National, is also a winner in my book. Indeed I often say the best bird on the day is not necessarily the winner!

Remember a fellow near where I lived that cheated one year and won it. So simple and so easy too. Think that they tightened it up a bit after.... well would reckon they have lol. He'd had his only winner that season the went with his daughter to blackpool. Was later that same year he got caught cheating in the races and got banned sine die like. Just lasted a year in the sport. Had / did some other stuff that came out and he went prison for a few years. Bet he'll never forget the year 1997 eh! Sorry way led your post. Fine Bandit. I of course have no beef, indeed am one that will always go with the 'Vote'. May havemore than a fair share of spouting before hand lol. So I was thinking aloud so to speak and just looking at ways some may try to overcome it. When I'm racng, and have a settle family which I know and trust, 20 old birds and 30 youngster tops, will be a big team for me. These too will have to fly both routes. Thgis may help to sort the chaf from the wheat, but doubt it as a decent bird takes that in their stride. However, the Likes of some that send 200 birds are often the 'Persuaesive Leader's and often Feather Merchants. Now if there was - obviously not though as it would never have got passed - these would / will certainly get around it, or get it changed within two years tops. So though I wouldn't be affected of course, it was a thought some might be.

Just a thought, does the 50 include 'Trainers'? I think this may well be the next way some will use to send more, for training and expierence of course. Yes Iknow that they would have to pay the same. Indeed man may have a few 'Trainers' before their 'Race Birds' lol. But then again that is y/b - even O/B racing. Only downside - outside of revenue which as it stands seems to be favourable in cash terms - some may well have to jump their birds in at later stages, indeed throughout the y/b season. In our Fed that would mean after the first fortnight a jump of 125 - 150 miles or more. JMO
