So again it just shpows one needs to treat them before they leave the loft, or go training, or racing. Simple. Too many are still waiting like damsels in distress for the Knight in shiney white armour ... And some of those doing their bit are peeved with the whingers / do nothing brigade. Every one, whether they like it or not, needs to be doing their bit. Simple as that. I saw another Sparrow Hawk a couple of days ago. Thought that they had gone... still with a little luck they we be again.

There we go again. Tis why 'Latebreds' get a bad name by fanciers. Only want a couple of small tosses as youngsters, then a few tosses and a couple of 100 mile races. It is the following year when they come into their own and excell! That is the very reason why many don't like them And further why it is a game of patience. Mind have had September born youngsters that have won the 'Scottish averages on their own.

Agree with Sammy. Also the cold weather cleans ups and kills a lot of nasties. Was the time this was inperative in days gone by. Maybe syill helps a lot. Obviously still is, but, and I'll have to consult I.B. many have through over use of such products as Baytril, that they are becoming immuned to even being frozen, and just become dormant till the warmth returns and they invade in hordes.

Egg or young in May fly all the way I heard. August / September hardly tossed, then just a couple of 100 milersor so following year for 18 months later down the as Old birds definately take all the beating. Patience is the Key word for late breds
