I no i have Gabbie vandenbeeles, camphus janssen, janssen, Jan aardensxvangeel and possibly a koopman i think, just wanted to get an idea of what distance the youngsters of these woul fly from. But av got them so they will be tried and fingers crossed i have the same amount at the end of the season.

Hi Guys I am breeding my racers for the first year and hopefull of racing this season, I was kindly given birds from a friend and when trying to train them last year i lost a few (hooky beak i think), howeve i was left with 7 and my freind gave me a loan of some of his stock birds to even up the pairs, I bought a pair at B/pool and was also gifted another pair, then another gent from the site has loaned me 2 pair so i have 9 pair to breed of so fingers crossed. The reason for my post is that i was wondering if anybody can give me an idea of what strains fly what distances as it is all new to me and i am not quite grasping it as i bought birds in Blackpool and i dont think they are suite for pairing (to late now tho lol). And what the distances are i.e sprint = ???miles, middle =????miles. Scotty M

Hi Stuart Try SPDS 01355 234807 i think they have depots down your way as well so check out the internet for any local phone numbers, I used them for my first and only time of getting birds and found them good and they take cash upon delivery and would have no problem useing them again if required. Hi Guys In the defence of Daisymay's post, I phoned him on my mobile and had said to him that i had won 3 NPA certs and my blue cheq ck got best horseman and the self brown hen got Best opp sex, however as the signal was not the greatest and it was breaking up it may not have came across as it was said and wires may have got slightly crossed, these two did get certs along with my blue grizzle. I hope this clarifies things, after all it is only a bunch of feathers and we should be enjoying our hobby. Scotty M

Thanks for the comments guys it is appreciated Ally Mac, As you know i am just starting up into the racers and only have 7 at the moment which were gifted to me by a friend, I hope you may be correct in saying i mite get similar results when i start racing next year but some how i think this could be a very hard task Scotty M
