  1. 06.15. West wind turning south.
  2. I would also never kill a pigeon with a bent keel. I have had many good racers with bent keels and personally i think it makes no difference. No good though for shows. Blue Petra - broke keel 2 weeks before first YB race 2008 - performances during yb season - 1st section E, 4th NIPA Open, 3rd section E, 10th NIPA Open, 5th section E, 40th NIPA Open, 24th section E, 154th NIPA Open up to 27,000 birds.

  9. Probably lost from Penzance at the weekend. Lots of Irish birds missing.
  10. My youngsters have 12 training flights over them. They never beat me home until i took them 20 miles. Early on they are just learning and will tend to range when let out and sometimes will fly over but once they get the hang of it they should beat you home every time. You should not be worried about this early on as the way i see it if they are in the air they are learning although when i hit 25 miles they are expected to beat me home.
  11. If you wish, unfortunatley it was found dead in Magheralin near Moira. maybe the owner would like to know?
  12. Is this one GB 09 L 10507?

  14. Thanks Merlin, i will send it to Dublin on Monday for release on the Naas Road.
  15. Found in N Ireland. Bird will be looked after and i could get this possibly sent down if i find out where it is from. SL
  16. Had the same a few years ago, Ybs trained 22 times to 25 miles and brought them 35 miles and got hammered. 10 on the day home but most of them came next day. If they are flying well at home they should nearly all make it. Hope your make it home.
  17. Does anyone on basics know of a guy called G Scobie from Irvine? I reported a stray to the SHU and asked on here but he has not bothered to contact me. Maybe if someone knows him they could tell him to please phone me? I could have had the bird back in Scotland now twice since i reported it. I have tried the mobile number on the report form but no answer. Any help would be appreciated. I do not want to just throw the bird out. I still may be able to get the bird back next week. Thanks. SL
