  1. I agree that YB sickness has a significant effect on the losses of Youngsters.
  2. It was a tough one in our neck of the woods Mick, with an east to SE wind on their nose the whole way home. However I had 3/4 on the day of liberation and they were in pretty good nick on return, especially as they had at least a 7 hour fly under their belts. I believe the winners were in the Bristol area and were doing in the low 1100s velocity wise. Cheers Richard
  3. These are good birds, I had 7 from Colin earlier in the season. I still have six left and one of them won for me last week ina head wind from the East and was seventeen, yes seventeen minutes in front of the next fancier on the Island. The Gaby's are good birds, particularly on hard days. I would recommend these to anyone, particularly at these prices! Chers Richard
  4. 10/12 fromm Kingsdown with the Solent Fed, two missing were first timers 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Club. 3/4 from Sennen Cove with the BBC, tough race battling an Easterly head wind for 200miles! Cheers Richard
  5. Don't know what the birdage is, but I've sent 4 to Sennen Cove and will probably send 12 to 15 to Kingsdown.
  6. Anything but a blow home Rose, with a bit of North (quite a bit) to give us southerners a chance!
  7. I,m with you Mick, NE would suit me fine

  16. Chale! Looks like an excellent choice does'nt it?
  17. Mick I don't understand why the NFC is not like other clubs, surely the BBC is also open to the whole country as well.In fact the BBC also covers the Channel Islands and Ireland. Perhaps you could clarify this for me. I am only critical because this once great club is going to the dogs and the members are being asked to pay more and more birdage to support less and less interest. Cheers Richard
  18. All good points Lovedean Lad The BBC pays section prize money down to 25th position and considerably more than the NFC for Section and Open winners and the birdage is generally less than 2/3 of the price of the NFC birdage i.e Bordeaux BBC £3.50 Bordeaux NFC £6.00 + 10p per bird marking fee. I may be missing something here but do these figures stack up? Cheers Richard
  19. Not just keep their birds at home Mick, but keep their money at home next year as well! I do not even think their will be an NFC clock station on the Island next year if what I hear is true! > :( >
