Thomo ,dont feed it rice ? ,when it gets wet after drinking it will swell up in the crop causing problems , soak it first in water to soften if thats all you have , bread in small pieces will help.

Just coated my lofts today ,i used green fencing paint and added half a litre of cheap pva builders glue/sealant per gallon stirred in well ,it was dry in ten minutes ,leaves a lovely colour when dry and wont need doing again for years, it cost six pounds for a 5 litre tin of fence paint and the pva was 5 pounds a litre , cheap as chips and a nice colour finish.

Sounds like young bird sickness , i have had a lot of it this season ,so too have a lot of friends ,it seems only to occur in the later bred pigeons ,make up a liquid mash of porridge and syringe it down if the throat is clear and you cant see any signs of canker ,the more food you can get down the better chance of success,

Why cant you racer lads form an association ,to transport your own birds ,surely there are enough of you ,,my theory is that john lives in corwall ,bill lives in devon ,sam lives in somerset etc ,you could possibly form a skeleton network collecting birds from local reportings and passing them along the line ,outsiders would have to pay to use your scheme naturally ,think about it ,it would work if you can get enough racing enthusiasts involved and it would save you a lot of money too,.

Well i would never let any of my birds go to a BOP fancier thats a dead cert ,he may well be genuine but if in doubt keep out ,.

Put salt in the bath water TB , IVE DONE THIS FOR YEARS ,it never fails ,birds will be clear of them straight away ,.

I had aproblem with the rats a while ago ,to stop them coming through the floor i managed to get hold of some cheap kitchen surface tops ,the double sided ones and doubled the flooring with it ,that stopped them getting in, plus ferrets s---t to put em off ,plus a bit of feeding ,,all gone now lol,

They actually feed on the red mite ,i leave them to it and never kill them ,they do not bother the birds at all.

MIKKEY,thanks for the birds , when i got them home the legs had fallen off two of them ,one hen had layed five eggs and i noticed one of the cocks had three heads but never look a gift pigeon in the mouth lol,.
