on reading this thread i think what comes across is the frustration fanciers feel who do stay in less advantaged locations and are only maybe looking for the acknowledgement that this is the case!!!! i myself have studied national results for 40 years and would like to think that i do know a wee bit about how these races unfold and in particular the ybn of the past 10-15 years with regards the times it takes for birds to home to certain regions, some reasons imo,PERCENTAGE OF CONVOY,LOFT LOCATION,WIND,FATIGUE,BREAKING POINTS. these above points are only scratching the surface of why the pigeon racing is harder in some areas than in others but a better understanding on the whole from fanciers why fly in national racing would go a long way in stopping this constant kicking of fanciers in difficult locations,8 open prizes in 12 years in the west section flying from the YOUNG BIRD NATIONALS is only one wee statistic which i think says a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!. maybe one day we can move forward together as the SNFC and all enjoy the racing north east south or west.
