  4. imo we try and bring in new stock from the best flyers in our area usually eggs swapped in july as this is usually the best time to get late breds or better still eggs from your chosen fanciers. ;)
  5. well done to the members of cambuslang for putting on a great wee presentation night organized by the very capable billy gordon,a vast array of trophies some dating back 70 and 80 years were well spread througout the club, the pie and peas quoted on the thread heading does not do the spread justice as there was soup, chicken curry macaroni pies etc and being straight out from work i had to try the lot!!!!!!!!!! :lol:a raffle and a sale of quality latebreds finished off with a relaxed quiz panel and also meeting up with half a dozen lads from pb and seeing some old pals made for a very enjoyable evening for me and old jock. :) well done again the cambuslang club.

  19. dont think there are many fanciers in bearsden m8,clydebank is just a few miles away and has fanciers. :)
  20. some good looking pigeons but too pricey for my pocket and not sure if they will like the cumbrian hills!!!!!!!!!!
  21. my wife and daughter, mother and young brother will all train the birds if they are going away in the car,my brother is very good as he is a site manager (i think, building game anyway) and works around the country on new houses and we have had some great training over the years, the doos are down to me and dad although dad has been retired for some time and works hard at the doos, mum keeps us going during the nationals making sure we are eating well. ps during the national races my wife says she will wake we up for work on monday morning as i am at the doos all weekend. :D
  22. enjoyed your company martin and also the other north west boys, was sitting with my dad my pal john bosworth and arlene and also alec blyth and his good wife and sister and brother in law, spoke to tons of fanciers from all over the country in what was a very good night and also the new format made the proceedings much quicker leaving more time for dancing and socialising, the only slight low point was the number of fanciers not there to collect their trophies!!!!!!!!! but a good night was had by all. :)
  23. some good points Ian,if we were to cater for 500 miles plus only in the national we could send a camper van with a trailer, imo as is my opinion on most posts about the national we must continue to cater for all. ;)
  24. thanks george. :)
  25. thats good John, its the place to be!!!!!!! maybe us lads in the Almond Valley can look at our programme and maybe for a race tag along with the national and give us boys at the tail of the bank a wee chance. ;)
