watched the presentation with a young looking jim rintoul and rev ovens with the usual good jokes and patter,wee willie duncan with a good yin at rennes(remember doos getting dosh 3rd day that year)and john mcluckie with very red hair. :) the main prize winners baird and son do they still race lewis?? -
cracker lewis and a top national position as well, i love looking at good doos and jim is the man for the photos. :)

no lewis Andy Anderson and Finlay brown were two good fanciers who joined together and concentrated totally on the nationals,Andy died some years ago and finlay no longer keeps the doos,delboys grandfather was another very good fancier called wull macrae. :partick-thistle-Crest: -
the doo at marlbourgh should have beaten all the easties that day :P but yes your wee doo that was second open was most definately a topper and was so close to an ayrshire national win. ;) no more thinking rikki theres a wee thaw on over here and will go and get the doos done. :lol:

there are a few macs who flew the doos and are related to wee mac frank!!!! dont think bobby is though,bobby macaloney and his dad won the west section at the yb national on consecutive years in the 60s,bobby has a driving school and owns the wee paper shop in gartcosh he used to get a good yin at the rennes race aswell. :) -
