just in from work the now,had a smashing night at the social circle quiz night with the panel being one of the best we have had,the exchange took place and also the presentation of the photograph winners,a very good night. :partick-thistle-Crest:

we will have 50-55 young birds this year,20 on the darkness who will go every week and hopefully the national, and 30ish wee ones which will be trained and given one or two races. :)

yes great pigeon,remember reading the story in cartoon format as a young boy in the "victor" annual and being proud telling all my classmates about the racing pigeon that won the DICKEN MEDAL. :)

sorry to hear of the death of johnny curran.johnny and brother bobby kept the doos at the allotments in bridgend moodiesburn where a lot of fanciers and friends had great times sitting in the brothers hut talking doos for hours over a cuppa,they had a great record at the distance racing racing birds such as "the wild hen"3 x rennes "jack" and "jill" adams,"paddy" the "niort cock" these birds all scored at Rennes,nantes etc with the national,they also won 1st sec 3rd open scottish midweek specialist club dorchester and also 1st lanarkshire fed sartilly with "danella" after johns wife,rip johnny. john & john hood milton of campsie.

yep great memories for you John and you are starting to get your name on some of these great trophies which were won by your dads good friend and so many other fantastic fanciers,the social circle has so much history in scotland. :)
