  1. That the eighteenth pic ive seen this week. It makes my blood boil. Hang on in there mate, this can't continue, I know how you must be feeling now, I know it's not much consolation but there's a good few of us out there trying to something about it.
  2. No problem mate. I just wish the powers that be could recognise that 8 pages of crap and not even a mention about the etition. Although there was lots of mentions of action and money. a £1. levvy 42000 members Ker Ching. Lets use outside people, the fanciers can afford it. Instead of, why not utilise the fancy, we have many members who have all the skills and companies that we need. This will not only give something back to the fanciers who may be glad of the work during these hard economic times and maybe would gladly accept the work and would probably offer it a discount, because they are fanciers, But maybe it takes a fancier to think this way. After all guys, this is what we do.
  3. Cheers guys. Like I said, you can just send me the details via our website and I'll enter your details for you. http://saveourracingpigeons.yolasite.com/people-and-fanciers-supporting-our-action.php just fill out the form and I'll do rest.
  4. The petition can now be signed via our website http://saveourracingpigeons.yolasite.com/people-and-fanciers-supporting-our-action.php
  5. Thanks for that mate,I have the whole SHU reports and findings the Dixon report.I can see the amount of work that went into it. This is the foundation on what I am working on. We've had years to try the deterrents, the truth is they don't work and if they do this is only in the short term. We have now learned that RSPB does not in fact know the true calculations of the bird of prey numbers here in the UK. They have to rely on the findings by The Raptor Groups that are in existence in throughout the UK. Also ringing groups. The Raptor Groups are like the hardcore faction of the whole Raptor Farce. These are like the fanatical right wing of the RSPB, a bit like the hierarchy and the ringing groups are the foot soldiers. There have been reports that the Sparrowhawk has been in decline of late. I believe that this is not the case and it is only in decline in it's natural habitat. Because as we all now know, these have now evolved into an urban dwelling species. This is what I am aiming to prove without a shadow of a doubt. One interesting point that I have discovered is that the sparrowhawk has a small territory in which they hunt. I don't want to say too much at this stage for obvious reasons. This is the reason I want to involve every fancier to keep updating the Hawk Watch at the RPRA, this is going to one the best tools that we can have. If any of us know a fancier who does not have a pc, then we should make it our mission to report it for them. This will show the complete saturation of the Sparrowhawk and the beauty of this is that it will cost nothing. I would also urge fanciers to get as many photographs of these birds if possible and photographs of their victims from these attacks and email them to me. I know many fanciers just think that this will be another failed attempt, but believe me, this action is not going to go away and neither am I. Hopefully very soon this should become clear to every fancier in the country.
  6. Fair point mate, Thanks anyway. It all helps.
  7. http://saveourracingpigeons.yolasite.com/people-and-fanciers-supporting-our-action.php Check at the bottom of the page of the above link. Thanks for your patience
  8. I emailed a few, but never got any replies, in fact I sent emails everywhere. I'm just hoping this weekend will be a turning point. Watch this space as they say.
  9. Click on the box that says about this petition under the picture
  10. A good point mate. A few have even printed the petition off and took it in to get it signed by those haven't got computers. Others have even sent me stamped addressed envelope and I have sent them petitions. I've sent some to some corn merchants also,
  11. I know mate, they have been neglected a little as well as the Mrs and the kids. We first need the support of the fancy, for anyone to take us seriously.
  12. Cheers guys, I know I have put myself in the firing line and at times it does get to me, especially when I see support is not really there, the tally now after counting the paper petitions, is now just short of 900 signatures, which is a much better response that many would have thought. But as we say it's early days and the results are encouraging. Thanks guys for your help, but we still have a long way to go yet. http://markavery.info/2012/02/23/guest-blog-gary-burgess/#comments I suggest you take a look at this, as this is the sort of ignorance that we are up against and also some very valid points have been made.
  13. Thanks guys, today was a big boost and thanks to Michael for his efforts 7 signed petition sheets, they are coming in now, had some others returned in the post, the corn merchant has a few for me to pick up and so has another fancier who runs a pet shop. Looks like we've well cleared the Blackpool petition. Keep it up guys, your efforts are well and truly appreciated. I can arrange that for you mate, just give me a few days. Thanks for your support.
  14. Already done and on here and you've seen the response, I am one person.
  15. Cheers Michael, this has just cheered me up a little, I'm a little rattled by some idiot on that Mark avery's blog. Anyhow I have just given him what for. Ive pm'd ya mate. Ive had a few of these back today, well done guys.
  16. I understand that mate and I am going to let the petition run, OK it did better than some stated when I first started it, but considering the amount of fanciers that have actually been on line over the last three weeks, this isn't even a fraction.
  17. Judging the messages I have received this weekend, the angry mob just seem to think it's best that everyone just fends for themselves and does what ever they have to. Ive spent three weeks solid on this and judging by the response it looks like it has been a waste of time. So be it as they say.
  18. Suppose it's early days yet. But I'm hopeful.
  19. Where's all the thousands of fanciers full stop.
  20. Here's the list of names for the online petition as requested. A full list of names who have signed the online petition have now been published on the website. http://saveourracingpigeons.yolasite.com/people-and-fanciers-supporting-our-action.php
  21. I don't think really there would be much chance of that. It would have to take more than 514 signatures.
  22. Cheers guys for your comments, I am still letting the petition run and have already invested too much time and effort to it. Paper petitions have gone out all over the place. I've had a good few completed and returned but nowhere near enough yet and the totals for the paper ones will remain in my hands and will not be publicised until the time is right. So to the anti pigeon brigade up yours, it's a shame we don't have an icon with a finger on it. lol They are laughing at us at our poor response and this only tells the other side, either there isn't a problem or we are just over exaggerating the whole issue. The lack of signatures certainly speaks volumes. I also think I should stop trying to show an even handed approach, and show an extremely biased view based on extreme anger.
  23. After the sh** response to the Save Our Pigeons petition. I am just wondering if it is really worth the hassle pursuing it, as obviously the signatures speak volumes. Nobody is really interested. I'm just looking for three good reasons to keep on with it. If I don't get them, I am seriously thinking of kicking it into touch and getting on with my pigeons.
  24. It's happening everywhere mate. But when we say owt, we are ridiculed, called names and bullied into submission. The only way is to stand up to them, but it's clear a lot won't.
  25. Good site mate, was just looking for some more high speed memory cards for me camera, can't beat those price. Well done.
