  1. Cheers Gail
  2. Does anyone know the partnership Owen and Hogarth from Wales? Does anyone have a contact numer for them please? Cheers
  3. I can see your point Rambo. For people with their own birds, I can understand that they would like to send there own. As Paul said, people who have packed in, tight budget etc, this is a valid option of being able to compete or shall we say have an interest in the race. Its no different to the people who buy the venturer birds, they are buying those birds other people have bred soley for the interest, excitement and prizes of being part of the race even if they didnt breed the particular bird. I purchased 3 venturer birds 2 years ago because I had not started back up then and had no birds of my own. And I still thoroughly enjoyed the whole competition. I entered this year and equally enjoyed but would be fibbing if I say I didnt get more satisfaction this year. But if I had won either year I would not have minded I agree for people with there own birds, I am sure they would like to enter there own,but for whatever reason some people might not be in a position to actually enter the race themselves. So this is an option. I would just like to add as well, the 1/4 share I will own in each syndicate will be fully paid for by myself, so its not 4 shareholders and me, effectively them paying for the bird and me having a free share. All 4 members will pay £50 each and that includes me.
  4. I will be taking the birds to the loft myself so no extra costs will be added....thats a promise! £50 a share and thats it! You will have a 1/4 share in an excellent team of pigeons! If you wish to own more than 1 share thats fine, but I will own 1 share in all syndicates entered. The only extra will be if the syndicate wish to activate the reserve birds at a later date, but even that is optional and not compulsary.
  5. Hiya Tigger, the cost is £50 a share. The cost of entering a team of 3 birds is £200, this pays for one activated bird in the race with the other 2 acting as reserves incase the activated bird is lost. If the other 2 birds are still in the loft by the time of the 1st hotspot they can activated by the syndicate (optional). I dont want anymore than 4 people to a syndicate as the prize money is too watered down with increased shareholders. 4 is a good number and £50 for a season long of hope, thrills and excitement is a fair price with the prize money being very good on offer! If the race is full it will work out at £7,500 per shareholder, half full and your still looking at picking up a nice £3,750. Anymore information, including the pairings that the team will be made up from can be seen on my website under Syndicate 2010. These birds have been bought especially for this venture and they will produce the goods I firmly believe! Cheers
  6. The response has so far been great, I have filled 1 syndicate already and have 5 or 6 more showing interest. Anyone else interested please get in touch.
  7. Anyone interested in joining our syndicate for next year to have a crack at the Europa Classic 2010? If anyone interested please see the Share Syndicate page on my website. The race can be quite expensive to enter, but you can have a shareholding in our syndicate which helps keep costs down for you and us! Max 4 people to a syndicate thus not watering down potential winnings. We have put together 3 pairs that have Open, Hotspot and Ace bird results flowing out of their veins! One Loft birds, especially purchased with one thing in mind to breed One Loft winners! We have had considerable interest already and anyone wishing to join in with this venture please feel free to get in touch. The more syndicates we can form the better!
  8. Anyone have a contact number for Max Wilkes and Son from Solihull by any chance, need to speak about a pedigree for a pigeon I have purchased at Europa Auctions? Cheers.
  9. Cheers all I have some interesting reading to do! These two are going to be paired to the two on the homepage of my website.....the youngsters should be dynamite! I am going to enter the youngsters back into the Europa and I have a feeling they are going to take some considerable stopping!
  10. I purchased 2 birds bred by Ernie Goodyear at the Europa Classic. I have just come off the phone to Ernie and he said the birds were from direct Willy Jacobs. He is away for a week before he can send me some paperwork for the birds. The pigeons themselves were outstading:- 24282 - 86th Open, 250 miles, 754 birds. 9th Hotspot, 100 miles, 1020 birds. 48th Hotspot, 160 miles, 815 birds. 69th Hotspot, 60 miles, 1104 birds. Finished 34th in the Ace Bird standing. 4 times in the top 100 out of 6 races! 24286 - 6th Hotspot, 60 miles, 1104 birds, 22nd Hotspot, 100 miles, 1020 birds, (was 1st Ace bird after 1st 2 races), 15th Hotspot, 160 miles, 815 birds. 3 times in the top 22 from 6 races -outstanding! Two truly remarkable performers throughout the Europa Classic! Any information on Willy Jacobs would be gratefully received.

    help

Yeah thats right, you will get your rings through the club then. The loft can be be mapped and you you will get your distances through the club as well. You can put as much info as you like, but as long as you include the main facts thats all I think you really need to include.

Hiya M8, just include where you live, your address, and when you want to join for, old birds or young birds.
  13. very nice Paul m8! Did you go to the show the other day? I went with my brother, Darrell and Mike. But had to leave early.
  14. The nest pair were bred by Rocket Ron Bevan. He also had another in the top 15! So he had 3 in the top 29! Ernie Goodyear bred 2 of them. The one cock, his worst position in any of the training tosses / hotspots etc was 364th and that was out of 1200 birds, outstanding. If you go onto the europa website and click Ace bird and type in 24286 in the search bar and then click on the number you will see what I mean this pigeon was never hardly ever out of the top 50 in all training and hotspot races! I had one from Mark Williams at Dyserth Lofts, One Alister Hogg, One Kees Bosua but unsure of the breeder, raced as Any Minute Now, One Les Parkinsosn, and one was Owen and Hogarth.
  15. Hey Gagums hows you doing. Just cleaned them out now and had first real good look at the birds I bought and must say over the moon! It was nice chatting to you and Ron and I would must say I thought you were both really tidy blokes. I hope he can sort me out with a nestpair from the parents for next year, hopefully two cocks! I cant wait to see what they produce, but one thing is for sure, 2 from them will go to the Europa next year!! Rocky, its like being in a different section flying up here in Brecon mate when the club alone is 20 miles south of you and the fed come in 5-10 miles below that into the valleys! I am the furthest north flying member in the whole fed, so realistically what chance will I ever have flying here in Brecon? Thats why I am so keen on One Loft Races, at least that way you can test your birds against others on a level playing field. Regarding the Jan Aarden cock, I bred 4 off him and 3 flew for me and finshed 1st, 2nd and 4th in my loft standings. One was killed by a hawk around the loft and the other was lost from a 20 miles training toss prior to the last come back race. The other was put into a breeder buyer and was the blokes 2nd bird home in its first race. Not heard any more from him since. I think in its first year was definitely my best breeding cock, and its upto something else to know wrestle that tag from him!
  16. Hiya DJH, they are outstanding performances indeed. I was looking at the Edd Sittner birds yesterday and they were bringing good money! Do you know who purchased the nestpair you mentioned? Wish I had got back into pigeons in 2007!! hehehe
  17. Cheers both for your comments. I hope they produce the goods from nest 1. I hope your nestpair breed you some real stars as well Baz. Good luck for the future. The other birds I purchased as well were all in the top 50 Ace bird standing prior to the last race. My plan is to pair 'Rasbull Trish' results were 4th Hotspot - 60 miles, 1104 birds, 39th Hotspot, 100 miles, 1020 birds, 15th Hotspot, 160 miles, 815 birds and 24th Open, 250 miles, 754 birds, 9th Ace Bird 2009. Nestmate, 29th Open, 17th Ace Bird! 'Rasbull Guv'nor' results were 9th Hotspot - 100 miles, 1020 birds, 48th Hotspot, 160 miles, 815 birds, 69th Hotspot, 60 miles, 1104 birds, 84th Open, 250 miles, 754 birds. 34th Ace Bird 2009. Both these birds had 4 permances out of 6 in the top 100 of the result! Brilliant flying by two super pigeons.
  18. I personally cant say I know of a better nestpair that have both been in both the Final result and the Ace Bird standings. I have named them 'Rasbull Trish' and 'Rasbull Kate' and pics are on my website if interested. Cheers.
  19. Today I purchased a nest pair of youngsters from the Europa Classic sale. I went especially for the two and come away with both! I would like to know if anyone has heard of any better results in any one loft race by a nestpair than these two have achieved? They finished 24th and 29th Open and 9th and 17th Ace birds out of the 1203 birds that were entered. Fantastic....both in the top 30 from the Final Race from 250 miles, and both in the top 17 in the Ace Bird standings after 6 races! A great performance by them - but I would like to know has there been better? One loft races only though!

Hey Boxer, I went to the Europa Sales again today and was speaking to Ron Bevan and Gareth Adams, he said he knew you. I ended up purchasing Rons nest pair that finished 24th and 29th Open in the final race and also 9th and 17th Ace birds overall. I was well happy with that. I also purchased Ernie Goodyear's cock bird that finished 86th Open and was in the top 100 4 out of the 6 hotspot races including 9th Hotspot 100 miles.

Varied really, a couple brought £250ish, the majority around the £50-£80. Quite a lot unsold and returned to the loft for the Europa 500 as venturers.

Yeah I purchased 6 nice birds from the Europa Auctions. They were 22nd, 23rd, 26th, 32nd, 40th and 54th in the Ace Bird standings going into the last race. Some of their results (hotspots only) were 2nd / 1104 birds, 6th / 1104, 15th / 815, 16th / 1020, 22nd / 1020, 31st / 1104, 31st / 815. They appeared to have mixed results in the final race, but thought if I purchased birds that were in the top 5% prior to this I wouldnt go far wrong. Going down again tomorrow especially for 1 cock and 1 hen I have ear marked! So fingers crossed.
