Aiming for the 10th December if all goes to plan. Made a big mistake yesterday though. Put the pairs in there boxes to see if they accept each other etc, and decided to leave them until I come home from work. 2 hens totally scalped! Wont be doing that again. Well you learn by your mistakes I guess!

I have spoken with both people concerned and they are happy with the result. When I checked just now Duncans bid was recorded at 9.59 so that is the winning bid. I have already explained the situation to Adam and he is happy. There was no 5 minute rule but I was prepared to accept commission bid in brackets on the the thread only. 1hour and 15 mins left on this auction. I will allow a commission bid to be left for the highest bidder, so whoever they are, they are not a sitting duck. I should have said a 5 minute clear rule applies but didnt so this is the next best thing. Whoever the leader of the auction is if they want to protect there bid they may bid in brackets to be used to prevent last minute bidders stealing in and pinching the bird from under there nose. This has happened to me in the past and definitely is a disadvantage to the highest bidder going into the last few minutes. This applies to anyone who is the highest bidder at the time. If you are leading and wish to leave commission bid to automatically bid for you please put bid in brackets with commission after it. If no bid comes in last minute then the current bid wins and the commission is not required. However, if a bid comes in the commission will be activated and £5 increase on the bid will be activated in your name or if lower, whatever the difference in price until commission used up. I hope this helps protect the leader of the auction going into last few minutes.

If its not broken why fix? They chucked out winners, and they have to be kept together for sure! Upto you though m8, but they seem to have clicked dont they!

This auction finishes at 9.59.59. A quick note, out of the 12 pairs of unraced stock birds I had last season, I selected 3 birds to enter the Europa Classic costing £200, I also activated the 2 reserves for another £200. This hen bred one of those birds. If I didnt believe she was any good, I certainly wouldnt have paid that out, infact I would have bred off another of the stock hens and entered their youngsters instead! Money talks, and in this instance I backed this hen to produce the goods. She did and the youngster made the final race and was by far my best entry in the competition. He was pooled all the way through in the final but didnt make it, but thats pigeon racing for you!

All my birds are good m8, anything that is not is in the bin a long time ago. I wouldnt waste my or others peoples time selling rubbish. However, when you make a choice like I did in having raced stock birds, then something has to give as I simply dont have the room to keep both. Raced birds might make rubbish breeders, but thats the choice I have made and therefore space is required by selling off my unraced stock birds. Hope this explains my decision m8.

Auction ends tonight 9.59.59 for this cock! The price he is at now he really is a snip. A full brother was 38th Open Final Europa Classic 2008, 310 miles, 1174 birds. Only bred in 2008 and only ever taken 2 youngsters off him....got to be worth giving him a chance, surely??????

I offer for sale a lovely Dark Cheq Busschaert Hen. She is a 2008 pigeon and was purchased as a young hen on a personal visit to Louella. She has bred 2 youngsters in her very short lifetime and I entered one into the Europa Classic where he made it to the final race but didnt make it back home from the main event after being my best entry upto that point. She is a Busschaert and on the Sires side a granddaughter of Ch. Adam, 1st National Nantes, 1st National Rennes, 1st Amal Rennes, 5th National Rennes, 5th National Tours. Also on the Dams side is a granddaugter to Ch Voodoo, 6 x 1st, 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, 9th and 17th federation. RPRA award sprint winner. I Started back up last year and spent a lot of money on the stock birds I bought. This year I spent thousands on 12 'Raced' stock birds and therefore the unraced stock birds are being sold off to allow room for the new purchases. These birds have not had the time or chance to produce winners for me, so someone is going to pick up a nice bargain. This is an auction and the opening bid starts at £20.
