  1. Tylan is not licensed for pigeons and under no circumstances would I give antibiotic blind. Treating canker cocci and worms can only be a good thing but treat one week apart. Redcheckhens advice sounds the best bet. Many of mallady's we have are caused by defficiency, as opposed to infection. Lemon juice on the food would be good as acidfying the gut will help with e-coli and canker.
  2. Agree with this but would suspect the problem is the cock. Wheat germ oil is supposed to be the thing but I had no success with this last year. If you have the money an injection from the vet is in the region of £20 £30.
  3. Yes this would be my opinion too. However if some one else could let them out for a fly that would be good. The wife lets mine out in the morning and I do it at night.
  4. Should you be near me, I will try and help, but I am sure others on here will too. Just need to know what county or town.
  5. Are the 08 s rung mate and where do they originate are they from Massarella or
  6. Thanks, at least now if I speak to a courier, I know where they have to be picked up from.

  11. Yes I'd like to see him back too. Bet he gave ya some nice birds too. Unrung if I remember right.
  12. I like me bikes but I'm gonna just stick to tarmac thanks.
  13. Think there might only be a couple o' making sites Ben. Might have a go at the race but not the platinum ring too much for me. Like me you'd have to travel.
  14. Look good mate, but you are doing the right thing I think. Tiz best to enjoy the birds rather than make it a full time job. Best o' luck.
  15. 4 or 5 days would be about right. Me I go for mid March, as I don't like mine too old. I get on better with later bred babbies and still managed a very respectable place in BBC Lamballe race, with one of the longest flying youngsters in the convoy at 270+ mile. I hate waiting that long but!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Made I laugh. Nice one.
  17. I'd still go for mites etc and use bacca in the nest.
  18. Mark Webster's looks like good advice kind of think birds only leave the nest if some thing drives 'em off. Rats or Mice, but my favourite would be the little biters you cant see, Red mite etc. Insecticide and maybe tobacco in the nest might be a good place to start. If you aint using tobacco stalks try about a fags worth of baccy per nest.
  19. Tiz true young bred on the floor do pick up sooner.
  20. May be not so krafty kev. Think this type will soon find new homes.
  21. I'd give her a bowl on the floor and lock the box unless the cock perches there. Other than that if you realy don't want her to lay on the floor when she has laid first egg on the floor put pot egg in it's place and shut her in box when she is due to lay second then give her her first egg back.
  22. Think 40 would be enough. Work 'em hard till you have around 10 left, and you won't go far wrong.
  23. Krauth here.
  24. If you wish to join any club there should be nothing stopping you. We must be mad preventing people from racing. Tiz a dying sport and we wonder why????????????
  25. No body is saying yearlings wont rear well, just they may not over sit till 21 days. King Billy is saying similar to my pm I sent
