  1. Congratulations Micko and Racer.
  2. All sold Ben. I shall have more young birds ready at the end of June, if you are interested please PM me. Donation made to PB.
  3. Due to a time waster, I now have three 08 pure white Logans, ready next week. These are quality birds and won't disappoint. I'm unable to take a photo of these babies (PC USB problem) but these are photos of parents and earlier round of 08 YBs. £25 each. parents 08 YB 08 YBs before weaning

Fingers crossed the other six work their way back Ben.
  6. NE Lancs, Hazy, sun breaking through, visability good. Wind very light from East.
  7. LOL, I've done that too! : I also threw a couple of eggs onto the lawn in the hope that the rain would clean the droppings off them. A crow stole them - bet it had a job cracking them open though!! ;D ;D
  8. Thanks Phil - wish I'd asked now before doing it!! :B
  9. With my second round of babies, I waited till they were loft flying as a group with the others and then put them in the basket with them and the older ones brought them home.
  10. Phil, You've rung a bell saying about not lifting the birds off eggs. I've just lifted all my birds off dummy eggs and pulled the eggs, in the hope that they all lay their next round at the same time- it's been difficult with lots of different age babies when people are buying several. Anyway, since I did this, the birds are acting really nervous of me - is this what's caused it? James, I hinged a large sheet of thin ply so that it fastens up against the loft roof but, when I'm basketing, it swings down so it covers the window and darkens the loft. The birds just sit still as I pick them off the perches - much easier. Sue

    Indian Fantail

They are beautiful Zuffy. Will they (or their young) be able to fly out or are these just for looking pretty??
  12. Billy is looking mush better - I know how much he and Lucky must be missing each other. Only 12lb to go till his goal weight - if only I could send him up my excess he'd be welcome to it! ;D Tell him to keep on eating/drinking as much as he can. He's in my prayers. Sue
  13. ;D ;D ;D I never saw the ivy!! :
  14. What's the wire round the pole for? Doesn't it help the cats and squirrels to climb up?? :
  15. Are your PMs working? I've sent you two asking if you still want the birds but had no reply??
  16. ROFLMAO ;D ;D ;D Best one yet!! ;D ;D
  17. All the very best of good luck. You certainly deserve it after what you've been through.
  18. I recommend 883 girl, Dovescot, Leroy, Zuffy and pjc as buyers. Prompt payment and good communication.
  19. Good idea. I hadn't seen it either! :
  20. Bath in Fairy liquid. Don't be afraid to give it a rub, rinse well in luke warm water and blot up excess in a towel then leave him in the sun to dry. Don't forget it will take a while before it's feathers are waterproof again though.
  21. They are excellent. I did lot of research before I bought mine and have to say there's a lot of c*** on the market. These really do look 'the business'. How I wish that I'd know Dovescot before I forked out twice the price for mine!! :
  22. WOW! Fantastic loft. Good to see my Logans going to such a good home.
  23. Sorry to hear this. The little fellow will be missed I'm sure.
  24. NE Lancs. Low cloud, light drizzle. Very light south wind.
  25. If you can get some garden netting, that would be a cheaper option. Drape it over the top and fasten the bottom with planks of wood, tent pegs, stones, whatever. This isn't a good option if you have concerns about cats or foxes. Hmm, looking at these now, I remember we secured the bottom by wrapping the excess netting around garden canes and then used tent pegs to hold it down.
