  2. my first year trying darkness i have used the stuff you put on the ground to stop weeds coming up from 8.30 until 16.30 daylight then my curtains come down i am feeding breed and ween should i keep this going until june? was going to add red band to this feed would you?

  4. saw the peregrine take a couple of swoops at my hens this morning and here is me out the back clapping and shouting every time it got near the batch i reckon this bird is either young or a captive bred bird because it could not catch any of my hens but it sure scared the sh*t out of them they landed in trees under my wife's car two birds never even stopped and flew straight into the trap i know the bird was doing the rounds up at alfs loft i reckon its the same bird anybody else in lanarkshire seen this bird? how can i let ybs out if that thing strikes my ybs will be gone for sure
  5. my fellow club member bought birds from the kos stand at blackpool done really well with the one's he bought and when i seen his birds last year at blackpool they were in very good nick sure his father in law sells birds as well but i cant remember his name

  7. the fish could have been better wish i had steak pie but the lager was cold so i had a few of them plus the company i was in donated 8 ybs to me so was well chuffed had a great laugh even with the comedian not turning up got to say when you see how many trophys and records mr macaloney and son took on the night truly outstanding pigeon men all in all i enjoyed my night plus i got a lift there and back free of charge ;D

  11. guess it depends where they cross jimmy but Calais to Dover is north west of the race point is that not 20 odd miles wide at that point but it is the shortest crossing from france to the uk
  12. stuart only you know if you have the tools for the job dealing with media, pigeon fanciers that have never liked change and would you be willing not to give your birds 100% as i reckon a lot of time will be needed you never know till you give it a go i also have met you twice and found you to be most helpful and friendly

  16. i don't think anyone has a problem with your hobby falconry but we need help to save our hobby from the over populated wild birds of prey is that wrong to try different things to to try and ward off attacks

  20. on another website black nest felts are getting the blame for causing many yb losses in the nest have you used these nest felts just out of interest
  21. the shu never went the right way either when ets was first used in scotland listen in a few years time it will not bother anyone in england dont get yourself to caught up on the ets argument just race your pigeons to the best of your ability
  22. vincent cracking setup coming into carluke just after the golf club e there used to be a loft on the right then one up a bit and accross the road used to pass it every day going to work are these lofts still there

  24. we all know how tough it is for your birds to break from the east coast but they raced the east route as ybs this year they will race the west route so plenty of experience of both route's but it will be a massive convoy hopefully the wind will be favourable then i reckon your yearlings might just do it my yearlings will go to maidstone but as harky says everyone to there own
