in my opinion ask a lot of the older guys and then see what things they agree on and the things that are agreed on i put in to practice and then on occasions pass it on

and that was back in 1997 and i am still learning

when i started to race pigeons young birds. I was luck enough to get a helping hand from some local fanciers that gave me birds. I had a hen always way behind the rest at training and on race day well behind along with another few the hen always last home i also got told to kill birds that are no good basketing the for yb open 216 mile i was going to kill the hen but i could not i thought you wont be back from that distance and on the saturday she was 1st home and won the clubs Carling cup by 20 min after young bird season i was not happy with the performance of 2or 3but again did not wont to kill them and asked a local fancier jock beck if he knew some one i could give them to he told me give them a chance fly them as yearlings and if no good kill them as yearlings 2 that i tried to give away won 3 club races each from78 mile to 316 mile so my point is this you need to give them all a chance because if i had listen to them that told me to kill all 3 would have been dead it was also a small club that i was in then so don't be to quick in killing birds

after giving it some intellectual thought and reflection on what i have read on posts from asha i have come to the conclusion he might not be everybody's cup of tea but basically i personally think the man is an absolute bleep bleep this is only my opinion and when i see him posting total negative in puts i will be the first to slate him i tried but thinking about it i have decided to post this

as i race south to north old birds and ybs and winter race you soon find out which birds put the head down and race so their fore i train in any wind direction but not any strength

dont know y it has been suggested not to train in east wind because come race day north south east or west if its clear up they go

i would put him out with yb and he will range with them

he is now just a pet got him back after given him to a friend when i gave up but now we are racing again he is back

and if you lose it your new yb will come from them and you get the likes of him

well cris it has been sugested you transfer the bird train it take your time and race it hope you do well with it but if you lose it pm and i will replase it with the best i can breed you

me because any thread i see your post on are all ways negative but you have ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THAT belittling other peoples birds lofts etc i have done my homework on you and now you wonder how

the field next to me not a 100 yards from lofts has been left from last year with wheat and day in day out flocks of wax wings yellow hammers wood pigeons etc etc and the local hawks are always hunting the field bonus hawks are not bothering my pigeons

jonny wishbone i will bet a pound to a penny you aint won as much brumby FACT best bird i have raced was from brumby week in week out

i could do with some of that

i think getting a clock wont be to hard as a lot of them now have ets

£12.50 £25.00 £30.00 £40.00 etc etc if i am getting birds deliverd pigeon tracker will be delivering them when you spend good money buying birds you want them in good nick when the birds arrive at your door and on time

holiday is put on hold till yb season ends and i can boldly say this as wife does not read any thing to do with pigeons
