i just moved it when i thought the chick was to big to get crushed did not think at time how many day old chick was the longer the better as parents more careful when sitting on chick

i would put plastic egg in its place as i did the same last week and the one that hatchet got crushed so gave her a chick same age out other nest with plastic egg and doing very well

it,s just raptors we need to cut back on

lets face it its not the garden attacks that get me raging it when a bird comes back from training or a race half eaten all said and done i am applying as a volunteer for the local wildlife conservation its not a bad idea think about it

yes dogs work if you have one in garden with birds hawk wont attack

i have thees two i have not had a hawk hit my birds for some time but them with new neighbours on one side with two German shepherds and another with a grate Dane and two English bull terriers and guy at end with 6 american bull dogs hawk cant risk taking bird to the ground

i am hoping to have 2 small lofts for next year plus yb loft 1 for sprint middle distance and one for long distance birds all going well will be sorted by this September

no your not trying to run b4 walking as distance pigeons take longer to mature than sprint birds

their is a cement works near Dunbar and the local area is teaming with hawks and peregrines we used to train from their but stopped due to attacks on our birds

how many times have we seen hawks or falcons nesting on pylons a nice easy target for an eagle owl

yes we all will but it wont stop an eagle owl raiding and killing another raptors nest if given the chance

eagle owls when given the chance kill and eat other birds of prey up to and including common buzzards and every little helps
