I don't believe so, virkon S is a disenfectant which keeps treated areas clean, its not used as an insect repellent.

Quite cold here in the North of Ireland so haven't had too many flies about the lofts as yet. I just finished weaning off my final Ybs last week and thankfully no sign of any Ybs. I have to agree with some of the opinions about it not being and insect caused problem. I continue to use virkon S weekly to keep the bad bugs at bay.
