owen has the right frame of mind. they dont care about are pets, but if the eagle owl took a cat or a dog then they need to do sumit, no one cares about are birds that get eatin every day

  13. I am going to derby in the morning, does anyone need birds, sale or strays, taking on this line to derby or on wednesday back up towards the wirral http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=ch43+7zg&daddr=derby&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=53.331275,-2.896525&sspn=0.246036,0.88028&ie=UTF8&ll=53.225768,-2.180786&spn=0.986577,3.521118&z=8
  14. harsh but i agree, this year i had late bred 07 birds with no races and yealings that had 1 race. the 07 birds were a pain and if i was to do it again i wouldn't just to have numbers, a small team of experiance is better than wasting your time, then again i know flyers hat dont race young birds at all and win outt of turn with the widowers, learn from your own mistakes i say and make your own mind up, what works for 1 flyer does not mean it will work for you
  15. yea, made by bamfords top flight, i use them for breeding and ill health, cant beat them,
  16. I have had a pigeon come back 1 year later from when we were at the same race point, it was like that point in time it just clicked and decided to finish the race
  17. I have just had young bird sickness and got rid of it by No corn for 24 hours and only bicarbonate of soda and Epsom salts in the water at a rate of 5ml per litre each, after the 24 hours feed of BOS pellets and build up slowly
  18. hung by the balls or growing the nettles behind the loft ;D ;D ;D ;D
  19. if he was found on my allotment, he would not have got off again, there is no reason to kill someones (family) of birds and i beleive in a life for a life, 160 birds has got to b worth 25 years, just because he hasn't been caught doing it before doesn't mean that he hasn't before
  20. alot of flyers on the wirral race the laffy daffys, terry rainbow still does well and robbie thomas just got an rpra gold medal he races them and i won the first youngbird race with a laffy x van reet from r & p belis dhaenens from the wirral crossed with my own van reets, good breed,
  21. keep my business from going under, getting harded each week with the birds and the recesion
  22. i use a chicken feeder and mine dont have it, a mate of mine feeds on the floor and his do have it,
  23. Look to see if the feathers are snapped at the base if they are its proberly mite I know a few people with it. Lighter fluid dabbed on with cotton wool will kill the might but you won’t see the result until the molt, if they were pulled out by the trays they would grow straight back like if you pull a flight feather out. Don’t worry about it I have seen pigeons top the fed with it
  24. bert brasspenning feeds a mix of 35 grains all year round, i think the best feeding and as much as they can get of it does the trick, with my widowhood cocks i dont take the food away at all and the get high fats towards the end of the week and fed just before basketing, 15 mins into flight all carbs are used and the birds start eating in to fat witch sustains the rest of the flight, hope this gives you something to think about
