Oh... think positive westy, it will be back!
  2. Welcome Jack, look forward to your input. Carol
  3. Linda and Sue, I found that useing it at weaning time was better and the YB's actually preferred it to plain water. My reason for not useing it in the breeding loft in the water was too much was going to waste as it is necessary to change it at least once daily with the milk in it. It gets kinda yucky and settles to the bottom. But I am useing some stuff in a can that it already mixed and I use about a TBLSP to a Qt of water. I found that my YB's have not gone through any weaning set backs. Carol
  4. You mean to say Mike that nothing I or others have said in favor of ETS is "fruitful"? Whatever that means... I have made NO personal attacks and made several valid points in favor of ETS. And have even concided that you have you have some valid points. So now you are even managing to attack those who have in no way attacked you! Just because they are in favor of ETS!!!!
  5. Well rick it hasn't yet! I saw it take a dive at my birds just a couple days ago. Not sure if it is it's mate or nest mate. I was told it was a young gosh hawk, probably kicked out of it's parents hunting grounds and so hungary it got bold enough to go in the loft.
  6. Oh... I see 8)

    Hatching

I have had 99% all hatch and I did treat with 5 in 1 before the breeding season. Have had excellent babies and put it down to the Purina pellets mixed with grain mix. We have been having cool and rainy weather so our birds don't get out daily either. Carol
  13. Is this Red Bull one of those energy drinks? or is it the name of a beer?
  14. I have a question, what if a medication does not give a range, but simply a so much per gallon dose. Do you assume that it is the intermedoesdiate dose? and up it some for cool winter weather and lessin it for warmer weather or just use what it says to? Carol
  15. I was trying to depict a scenrio where it could go either way and just wondered if the Chisholm or natural products would be the course taken for those who use all natural products. Thank You for the replys. Carol
  16. Tell Leroy hello, Yes I think there are many that would say the same and many gadget minded individuals love it, and all it can do for them including a tool in training.
  17. Have a GREAT DAY! ENJOY!!!
  18. Well, actually it is still in a cage on the porch. It went in through the bobs on my white bird loft. The two just banded squabs were it's only dining delight. I was considering re-locating it but was told it would most likely return. So then I was considering a large aviary for it, but I have a friend who already has an aviary for just such a victum but his victum died and he is happy to get a replacement. He'll be picking it up on Sunday.
  19. Rose, We are a small club with old guys who balked, said they did not have long in the sport etc etc and they now LOVE it! Are probably still flying because of it. And a neighboring club raised money from a one loft race to buy their club enough clocks to furnish all their members. Where there is a will there is a way. And if it turned out that the new clocking system was devastating other flyers your club could consider a clocking limit. I do see everyones points and I will have to say that here in the USA our lofts are a bit more spread out and 100th of seconds don't usually matter. But I really think it is selfish when people are essentially saying "I don't want it (for what ever reason) and I don't want anyone else to have because they might clock in more or better than me if I don't get it." Yours in the sport. Carol
  20. Same process. BUT! a much more delicate job! :
  21. Look who stopped in the loft for breakfast this morning! Had two squabs over easy :'( and left me the bands as a tip!
  22. I totally agree with you Dandydoo ;D But I already have ETS, I don't have to argue with those against it. :K) So I'll leave it be. Your doing a great job by the way.
  23. Hyacinth, What would you use if you did have a problem in the YB loft? Say for instance a yb came down with a one eyed cold and a couple days later one had dirty wattles and another day goes by and you hear sneezing. Do you still just use natural products and let this run its course or do you use one of Steve's chemical products? Yours in the sport. Carol
  24. I agree Rentenier, there is a lot of good in sunlight!
  25. Well I can see your mind won't be changed, and that's OK by me. But I can tell you that even the most adamant old time flyers in our club love the ETS now that they have it. So I agree that we disagree. ;D Yours in the sport. Carol
