this pic was off net and i beleive it is from a country where it is actually illegal to feed pigeons,it looks like a restaurant type place so i can see why they wouldnt want loads of birds hanging around.

i was sitting in the back garden yesterday,thinking about how i could improve loft(as you do),when i saw a hawk take one of the young doves that are in the nut tree,that is at the bottom of my garden.he just appeared out of nowhere,and managed to take the dove off one of the branches,and then he was gone.quite worrying that hope he lays off the birds when i get them.i was amazed because that was the first time i had ever seen how quick a hawks attack actually is.its no wonder that so many pigeons fall victim to them.

if only there was a way to take the sport into the schools,i beleive you would have a lot more young fanciers coming into the sport.

all our sport needs is a good dose of advertising,pigeons are looked upon as a pest by the public,i beleive that if the sport was advertised a little people would see that pigeons dont just hang around town centres etc,that they are loved,raced and cherished by their owners.i am coming into the sport soon and because i have introduced my children to pigeons there are now a potential four more future fanciers.
