  3. hi.my new loft is coming along nicely,i still require info on pigeon supplies:a corn supplier for one.the local pet store can get it but only in small quantities.does anyone know of a good localish supplier of pigeon feeds and equipment.i also need baskets, whicker if possible, would love to hear from you if you can help.paul
  4. hi.i am in the process of erecting a loft, bought a brand new one off internet and made my own alterations to it,if you have the time and determination its probably best to design and build yourself, the cost is about the same and you can design it to suit your specific needs.my base model which cost £319.00 is basically a14ftx8ft pent overlap shed, which i have split into three sections,it has staging at the front and a side aviary.we are also adding double front sliding doors and a tiled apexed roof.as i said we are in the process of building, but when its finished its going to be great.paul
  5. how was the weekends race in terms of returns, results etc.how did you all get on.
  6. hello.i am in the process of consructing a loft in my back garden, all i had to do when i contacted local council was to give them the overall size of the loft.they then checked with my adjoining neighbours and then they gave me the permission to go ahead. the loft was classed as a "temporary portable"building because it is going to be on a wooden base, and it did not require planning permission.but that is my local council, best to check with yours, they may have different laws.paul
  7. hi.when my dad used to keep pigeons he would pull out a damaged flight.but he woud not race the bird untill a new one had grown in its place.paul

  11. i must step in here and mention that the three members of pill racing club who i have so far communicated with have all invited me to the club and have been very friendly to me.i also have a disabled son who has shown an interest in the pigeon world and i think the new ets will benefit him greatly in the future if he decides to race his own birds.so chris if you have some thing to say,say it before the thread gets locked.paul :) :)
