  3. What a lovely woman
  4. If your Black's are recessive blacks they will breed only recessive reds. If you had 2 recessive reds they would only breed recessive blacks. The recessive gene will only appear now and again if the birds have been bred with any other colour.
  5. Hope you get a good result from your MRI Colin
  6. All my birds are out every day, been out since they finished the moult. So far so good and all very fit, during the summer they got terrorised. This mild weather will keep the hawks and falcons from going to nest in the next couple of weeks, so I'll need to keep a close eye on the birds.
  7. Sad day for the pigeon sport losing such a great fancier.Health has definitely got to come first. All the best to John.

  13. Hi Roly So the day has finally came, I really do feel sorry for you. Your a loss to the sport, being such a fantastic fancier and a real gentleman. The birds you gifted me have all settled well, both adults and yb's. Yb's are ranging well over the Ayrshire sky, I'll definitely keep you posted on how I get on with all the birds. Take care and look after yourself, speak to you soon. Paul

Sorry to hear that Whitty It's sad that it has just become a daily occurrence, every day you go on any pigeon site fanciers all over Britain are saying the same thing. Tragic.
  18. Put my yb's out this morning at 10.30,only out 5 min and a Peregrine went right through them, closed the loft up at 6pm,not a bird in sight, absolutely gutted. Lost 3 yearnings only a few weeks ago when the Sparrowhawk struck. My first season not even had a race yet and I'm suffering all these losses.

  21. There was a programme on the telly on Sunday, peregrines in the Wye Valley killing pigeons. The pair in question successfully reared 4 young last year, then it went on to tell that there's only 1500 pairs left in Britain,if 1500 pairs only rear 1 or 2 young a year I can't see how they can be on the decline.Ive seen a pair only a few miles from me rear 3 every year for the past 5 year.
  22. Hope you get some more back Peter. I've seen pics of your birds on another site, stunning big birds. Best of luck
