  1. Great idea but with due respect if someone wanted to buy me a new car every year of think that would be brilliant too. Will you be funding the race for the next 10 years? Or is this an expensive point making exercise? If your funding this race every year for years to come it's fantastic and good on you, if it's a one off to prove a point then we have had enough narcissism in doos it's killing the game.
  2. I'm the Same, I'll not be happy if some knew and some did Not!!
  3. Glasgow at cattericj?? Thought it was Whitley bay?
  4. You Did, did i ever say you didnt? but going by your logic then, why not make the yearbook electronic too?
  5. Everyone is a winner becouse of choice mate, 260miles? not to me or anyone north of me! Bit selfish there walter. Everyone a winner also becouse looking at costs and prize money for channel races if you just want those the birdage will be about 30 quid a doo!! You still gonna send, i dont cos channell racing not for me but i send to inland nationals , two fold winner there, 1. i race a national and 2. i help all you channell guys race your national at a decent price. I dont say lts do away with the races that are costing us money, its about accomodating everyone mate.
  6. maybe so, but others did. i just find it incredibly stupid to suggest doing something like this and thus making it that some folks wont get a result, not everyone has access to a computer, especially older members. Keep the four channell races but also keep the inland races for two reasons, 1. there are flyers who only race up to the inland distances and they have a couple of nationals to race. 2. its the least that can be done for them, fuk there subsidising your channel races. Everyone is a winner. WHY CHANGE IT. dont go if you dont want to, which most do at the channel races, and go if you want to, which most do at the inland races.
  7. find it stunning that there are folks putting forward ideas like not sending result via post to save money but same folks are advocating doing away with the inland nationals. The money taken in this year from the four channel races on birdage was £21,552. Work it out yourselfs guys given drivers wages, licences, Ferry, diesel, hire of marking stations, prize money etc. The club would b running at a loss. The in land national is needed to subsidise your obsession with "over the channel".

have any of you guys got the number to call to register a pigons arrival
  9. Are the pigeons held over for this race?
  10. Sorry to correct, but do you mean tommorow for a sunday race?
  11. what was it? or is it you only get to know if your in with the in crowd. Also blue pied, i wasnt having a go but what if they were not up and you had posted that? then everyone would be tearing into you, so just saying best sticking with the actual facts from the federation. And if there was a valid reason then why did all members not get a text to explain that to them then we wouldnt have all the sh** thats flying around! Communication, fuk sake, neandrethal man could even understand that!
  12. Could you just report facts please. People are waiting for a race and this is not helpful.

Derek They made a mistake not going early yesterday but hindsight is a great thing, they have no other option but to stay at the racepoint until time and the rules catch up with them.
  16. I think it's a matter of doing your research to be honest. I had a guy calling me last week to ask about a belgian fancier , granted this fancier(the belgian one) is well know and he has won a couple of inters, but the guy breeds 800 young birds for himself!!
  17. Totally agree with Paul Mac, we need to overhaul the whole thing. This mentality of a national isn't a national unless its from France is killing our pigeon sport. We need two day races and one day races Personally i would go for the following on a basis that we have 1 joined national. 1. Buckingham - 1st race 2. Portsmouth - 2nd race 3. Eindhoven or Brussels - gold cup 4. Ypres - 4th race 5. Luxembourg City - longest Race - 2 day long distance 6. Antwerp From the Dutch and Belgian race-points to Berwick the distance is as follows: Eindhoven - 700 KM Brussels - 703 KM Ypres - 650 KM Luxembourg City - 890 KM Antwerp - 675 KM Just food for thought guys, lets try something different and radical, we are losing our sport here !
  18. why not go to two day nationals, liberated between 12-2 , then there will be no day pigeons they will all go down, not completely exhausted and race home on day two.
