I'm going to check with my other pigeon fancier near me if it turns up there, missing a young bird hen black and white usually always comes back no problems but bit worried now as bit thin she might gone to die or something. She's gifted to me from John mair from Portsoy through bird auction earlier this year. I think it's 204 or 206 not sure but around there.

Still have lazy doos think I need to training toss them to get their mental state to fly, as when I cut their food they are starving pecking the ground and I feed them they dive in and if I feed more they get fat or lazy won't bother with flying so I think it's time to basket them and take a wee bit out at a time until reaches about 50miles away hopefully they will be fit by then.

Hi peeps now as I'm a beginner I'm still frustrated how to tell the difference between cock and hen, I know the hen lays the egg lol but when they not breeding. When they are held in your hand for basketing or etc how do you tell? Their eyes or shape or feet. My friend Andy from Fraserburgh says it's easy just by looking at them, I find it confusing but if anyone can shed light also the young pigeons too. Thanks

Right got the bits now need a bit of advice if I catch all my doos and put them in a shed will they be ok until I get the old one put down and new one put up? Also do I keep the doos in new loft for a while to get them used to it before letting out?

I know but it's ok got it sorted got a bloke to get the 2 bits and my father is helping with the erection of loft hope it goes smoothly

What kind of mix is that, is it a racing mix and add barley to it? I'm using all round at moment but can change it

Lol well my jug got oz and litres printed on it and it's easier for me to carry jug of food for them but the measurements suits the doos as they coming home with the whistle but I have to experiment as if starving they come back too early and hanging around and if too much they sit out longer so have to balance it out.

Still bad weather for Sunday too

So half of that would be 15oz as feeding twice a day or better with 30oz twice?

Hi pigeon peeps I'm wondering if there's help I can have, I'm based at st combs Fraserburgh and I gotten a second hand loft but a problem is there's 2 bits still at boddom near Peterhead and need a truck or van to pick them up and take it back home here also I have disability need help taking the old shed down and put up my loft. Reason why is that the old shed is rotting slowly and it's only 1 section so the loft got 2 sections which I will use for yb and ob. Any help would be appreciated And I will basket all my doos while the loft is erecting. This is moved from the help page

Thanks for that great advice I do have a whistle as I can't whistle myself hehe so it's a bit of maths for the food amount my jug got oz so need to work out 28g for 30 birds

Kestrels are small birds of prey so could not manage to kill pigeons it's the sparrowhawks or the peregrine falcons they are the killers

You manage to get the doo to the right place?

What food mix would that be I'm using all rounder at moment as got young and old together until I get my other 2 section loft put up, it's just annoying when they sit on the roof for ages, I see my other pigeon fancier not far from me, he manages fine with flying but I'm still learning
