can you still get IN THE LOFT ?, must be about 2feet deep lol
  3. who's ian?, anyway your right a travel firm does set a price to go here or there but it is based on full capacity when there isnt enough going you will get a surcharge . is it not better going to 'a' racepoint with a full transporter at £2.50-£3.50 / bird than going with half full charging £5.00-£7.00 / bird?
  4. you forgot to say boyo.

SORRY i though you were meaning that it was ok to do this ,the one thing i can say about your friend is he's luck he's still got birds that CAN STILL RACE with all the disease that MUST be in his loft.
  6. every club/fed up and down the country sets out a race program and sets the fee/birdage costs for each race , we all know that it cost a lot to get to the far end , if you priced it at say 10p per bird at start and what you have posted on here before at £15 /bird to go to france , how many would actually send or how many would they send you would lose half your birdage because of cost , now the fed goes to that race and make's a loss so what next year £20/bird and so on then the distance men boycott the early races then the fed runs them races at a loss WHEN DOES IT END?

ok then what race? and if you think that not cleaning out for four years is ok then your as bad as him jmo
  9. £37,500 YOUR RIGHT MATE thats me trying to type with 3/4 fingers instead of my usual one finger.
  10. No mate i am one of the hardest workers in my club and fed and my last club and fed as well, always there basketing even central marking at fed level , i have been secretary clock setter , president , i help run sales which make a lot of money for the fed and club, ONE THING I'LL ASK YOU THEN what have you done/what position have you held in your club/fed apart from moaning about having to subsidise the later races. check out clydebank club/glasgow fed sale on a thread earlier in the month , everone of those birds guess who got them for the sale CORRECT (ME)

more likely it was a blow home and/or a youngbird race.
  12. well that would hit all the clubs very hard as they geraldy paniers are about £150 each, and how do you say £50/£75 each multiply that by 500 is only£ 25,000-£27,500, each big lorry /transporter would cost in the region of £100,000 each . I was told by some of your members you have around 400 members thats were i got that figure.Alf and bigda are right, a sale here or there soon gets money in the kitty.
  13. maybe you should start your own golf club for sprinter golfers and just play the front nine and get everyone that plays the back nine to pay more and extra for par 5's as you want at 500 mile races in pigeons lol
  14. what have you got 400 members so 400 x £250= 100,000 that what those transporters would cost EACH mate so you would need to levy each member £750 to get 3 of them
  15. sometimes it pays to be smaller mate.
  16. some put in 28/30 but we put in 25 cocks and 26 hens, and 22 each for oversea's races.
  17. that is a problem mate you will need two big transporters to transport 7-10'000 birds, i think ours holds about 1000 birds each , there or there abouts depending on how many you put in each panier. We are in with south lanarkshire fed as well and they have a 2000 bird transporter, and there is a trailer belonging to forthbridges club that can take 600/800 birds so we can cover around 4,800 birds at any one time . and as the distance goes out then we go in whatever transporter will suffice.
  18. gordon has just bought it last year so no i dont think so.
  19. gordon geddes has his own transporter as well mate.
  20. when your aplication goes in you have to submit a copy of your rules and with some rules in lanarkshire fed ie not been allowed to be in this and that ,you will probably be knocked back.
  21. bigda we in the glasgow fed got a grant towards getting a new transporter(i think), and all clubs that got a grant got geraldy paniers instead of splashing money on elecronic timing like most other clubs/feds did we, thought of our birds first, ourselves second .
  22. i dont think its nobivac, its called (nobilis) now is it not .

just to answer this post , i or you go into the loft as it is your loft, you feed your birds in your loft the birds know you and it's you who feeds them , you or i have been doing this since they were born so they should be used to it, well my birds are and it does'nt affect my birds performances , i know i would not like to stand or walk all over $hite all day .I know if i cleaned out in the morning by lunchtime, never mind 24hrs, there would be some amount of $hit in my loft and i dont keep a big team, so if you like to keep your birds like this fine, i know i would'nt have pigeons if they were'nt cleaned out properly.
