yes frank they topped the fed a few times for me at up to 200 miles ,but after that it was ta ta .

the guy that bred this family was germain imbrecht from belgium i think some people used to think they came from germany because of his name (german imbrechts lol)instead of germain

75/85 miles from dunbar im not sure about berwick prob about 90/95 miles

i tried the imbrechts in 1984 these were the first lot from louella although i won 1st fed on a few occasions i could not get them from the 500 mile races. i found they were too soft imo

your 100% correct johno and the club jonesy is in have had [roblems for a few years now ,in fact a few years ago in a y/b race the clydebankn club had 90-95% returns on the day and the alexandria club had none home on the day they thought their birds werent libberated and im sure they phoned gordon and ask him to check the transporter ,then they think the weather c losed in and the birds could not get home ,but im further west than them and me and my pal matt luke had great returns ,so this leads me to say yes you are maybeb right about the health issue.

i can see where you live from my bedroom window and thats the direction my birds come from on a saturday and theres been plenty here when the birds come and can verify this .

(why) because the doo's dont come out the south the way they used to rab ,ask any south lanark fancier and ask where they train ,they train east/north east this is fact and any that try's to go south get murdered and soon revert back east.and yes the birds will try and fly in a straight line then they follow hills/valleys and go with the wind .
