i would like to have come again this year alec but i will be in gran canaria then :) :) :) :)

i was told by my good friend peter virtue for years (stop going on about where you stay ,he said if your birds are good enough they will win ) how right he was, so now i look at it in a different way, if i dont get a good one then ive not done my job simple as that , not the birds ,not the weather ,not the lib times ,and not the race point .

possibly right danny ,but have a look at the snfc's race from ypres last year and the report of fog between belgium and england ,the birds just flew over it and they had a great race , our main race is reims prob about 3hours to the coast ( lib at say 5 am ) so by 8 am the early morn fog should have lifted especially at that time of year with a strong sun

we cant be that far off dal 2 as the snfc are following us to a more eastern line ,well if the races are passed at their agm, i wouldny mind a race from belgium but hey thats jmo

WE ARE NOT BAD MATE the snrpc has no north sect boys to worry about ,the furthest is the dundee boys , i know i wouldnt like to have no chance of day birds every race .

why the diet 200 ? remember they are babies and are growing (protien for growth)

i agree with the north boys vincent ,i would love for the birds to be away at 04:30 or 05:00 and a light north wind PERFECT imo. (no west or east in the wind just north) . then alls fair . roll on 2010

walter i said 6 am at the latest mate ,and if you have 17 hrs till 11pm at 40 mph or around 1180 ypm is 680 miles ,40 mph is not (a good helping hand) in my book just a steady race ,i agree get them up at daybreak ,what was it someone or organisation used to say AT DAWN WE GO . IF THE WEATHER IS OK GET THE DRINKERS ON THE BIRDS AT 4 AM AND GIVE THEM 30 MINS TO AN HOUR AND AWAY THEY GO (BUT ONLY IF THE WEATHER IS OK) .

i would say if not up by 7:30am ,lib them at 1 or 2 pm ,depending on wind conditions and make all stay out , the latest lib for the north sect at say 600 miles ,is in my opinion is 6 am to have any chance of doo's on the day (depending on the wind conditions) that gives the birds 16.5 -17 hrs to get home . so i agree with the north boys get them up early. and by the way its not just the north that gets shut out with daylight ,theres been a few races were the winning south birds are being timed around 21:30 -22:00 ,so apart from the boys in the south maybe southeast nobody else has a hope of gettin a day doo.

the best i have was before the split sent two to reims and timed two ,220th open and 314th open ,after the split sent 5 to lessay timed two 5th open and 109th open snrpc, sent two to reims timed one 1st open snrpc. so nat a bad ratio open pos to birds sent .

christ im only one away from that ,thats a shame . rip graeme .
