  20. Yes,surely the minerals contain a large amount of salts and if taken in excess I think they would knock the birds off their legs .JMO. I have no proof of this only an observation. That's if they gorge themselves.
  21. If you have minerals in front of them all the time they are used to them, same as feeding birds by hopper they never appear to have food on their crops, put the minerals in front of the birds for the first time while feeding young and you'll have a different result.
  22. A local fancier now sadly passed away asked me to have a look at his birds has he had a problem, most were off their legs.I asked had he done anything different or had he seen any rats about etc.Answer.He'd filled a few pot with black mineral's and the birds ate the lot.Yes they'll devour it madly especially when feeding young.
  23. I know where you are coming from Peter, but if an antibiotic kills all the good bacteria how does the bird digest its food and have good droppings. :emoticon-0138-thinking:
  24. This is something that as always puzzled me and no doubt someone will point me in the right direction. Q.If antibiotics destroy all bacteria ie. good and bad.Why are the birds droppings to our eyes good ? Q. ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, . Why do we use different antibiotics for different ailments if the above is correct ? Or do all antibiotics kill the good bacteria and not all the bad ?
