heard my yb made 100 pounds for the fed plus the raffle bird that i asked micheal massarella to donate so im pleased with that how ever i was not happy with the job that the yearling pair i switched the old stock pairs eggs under made of them not the best reared by a long way but im sure they will develope into nice birds but if the person that boughtthemcontacts me i will breed them one from my stock birds later on

as andy said m8 dont worry about them sitting in the aviary it will do them no harm at all i even had mine nest in it as for beaking them i would let them rear a pair then try the cock when he is driving the hen for 2nd round then the hen a few days after laying that way you have a pair off them and 2 eggs if you lose them

darren i seem to get the same problem when i have barley in my mix i have started putting cod liv oil on it and it has got better worth a try m8

agree peter but john its deff taking a big risk jagging them during racing season the mans a fantastic flyer but this could explain why his results are not what they use to be and i dont mean that in a bad way i mean maybe he would be even better if they were jagged off season m8

to be honest andy im not 100 percent sure of the best time myself but more to the point i know for sure when not to vaccinate so i will do it this way untill i think o f a better better way or maybe some of the guys can think of a better way ps is there a way you can move it andy as you know i have not got a clue m8 if you think it will help move it to where you see fit

ive racked my brain over this one lads and a lot depens on how you plan to race your old birds to try and get a two week gap to do the yb all at one time there is afew ways it can be done as some o f the guys have said last week in march and jag old and any young birds at same time then next round not untill old birds are finnish or old birds in september october and all yb when ob racing is done and jag the old birds at same time so they all can be done at same time from then on as long as we are not still jagging two clear weeks be fore they go in a basket with other birds we should be safe

i a will that andy ive allways had a way with kids i think being the oldest of seven and my old man working away from home a lot helped my mum was the same and she taught me i was making dinners for eight and changing my wee sisters nappy when i was 12 and mum had to get a job to help out so allways had kids around me and allways been able to handle them i love them to bits and they make me laugh and keep me young alas they grow up to soon how any one could hurt a child i just cant believe theres no bad children just bad parents andy and id take them all if icould m8 guess im a real soffty

your right derek a scandal and a heartbreaker the wee lad next door to me has it he follows me about like a wee dog till i take him to see the birds i could cry every time i look in the wee boys eyes the lights on but nobodys in still his mum and dad love the fact i take an interess in the kid he seems to have taken to me comes in to see the birds having a bath him and i sit on my garden seat his wee legs swinging and the wee face all lit up as he watches them a bit like another wee lad i knew lol

i know that soupie it was just an example forgot how to spell bacterial lol getting p d off now anyway still waiting on some of guys that disagree telling us there thoughts why we are losing so many birds or maybe the vetwill tell them ive toldthem what it is ive told them how you get it ive told how you know youve got it and how to treat them if they get it and most important ive told them how to stop it i can do no more if ive helped some guys to understand how to help them self and what we are dealing with im happy the rest can do as they like keep the blinkers on and just carry on losing birds that should not be in the basket in the first place
