ian was a great servant to lanarkshire fed and deserves the thanks of us all for hours of work he put in on our behalf time to sit back and enjoy your retirement ian youve done your bit for the fed i am sure he will be there for cammy if any advice is needed to none know the job better and i do not think we could get better than jim cammeron to replace him

forgot to say i have allso been 2nd club kelso 5th sect and 1st maidstone 4th sect 12th open with a yearling trained from the 2nd week in feb and had droped it 5th flight and won 600 pounds in pools in maidstone open race so a lot depends on the birds themselves you can train a distance family to sprint you cant train a sprinter to do the distance but theres allway the excetion m8 tail winds and such

i would try billy 99 advice if you dont see improvement with antibiotics i am allso not to keen on baytril

agree with you there red cheq it does not sound like ybs neaver known it to affect yb as young as that does not say a lot for the lab that did the tests

maybe dangling the carrot of the gold cup would be incentive to go if the snfc dont try somethin the race will die a death imo

i can remember it snowing while waiting on birds from annan our 1st race over 30 years ago i let my birds out every day all year and will be trained up and ready for our first race on the 20 th its up to the rest to be ready to if you think its to cold for your birds dont go simple as that its your choice not to be ready some have been training for weeks with no problems

yes it was a great race wonder why it was changed as chad says even non fanciers would ask about it didnt know it was still a race point

yes m8 my fed used to pay for one and we held over on days we could have had a race did not give us enything different from what was forecast on tv news imo

mine not ready till next week sometime i was late pairing this year

100 percent correct owen as i have stated in previous posts seems no one is taking it in and the only way you get ybs is with birds being in contact with vaccinated birds

ps have you jagged any birds resently or been in contact with someone who has

geordie if your pigeons have ybs believe me mate antibiotics make it worse the reason for this is with ybs there is allways a yeast infection present and atibiotics inflame it more but by all means try it for a few days if the birds improve its not ybs they have ybs is adenovirus one m8 honest let me know how you get on good luck with it

i think some feds jumped the gun a bit should have waited a bit nearer the time not talking about the ones that were starting early they had to but to cancell a race thats 2 or 3 weeks away i cant fathom people are taking computer forcasts as fact and the truth is after 48 hours its only a guess as forcasters have admitted this you cannot beat the old way of phoneing down the line and speaking to people on the day as the computer forcasts are very offten not up dated from a friday night and again its only the forcasters or readers opinion of what they think will happen you cannot beat speaking to guys enroute in mop
