enjoyed a great day today being interviewed by tom corrie spent over four hours with tom showing him the birds and pedegrees tom had asked me to look out any relevant info and spent last night digging out and remembering prize cards and though id lost many of them moving house and such still found 66 firsts 110 fed prizes and 22 snfc cards dating back to 1977 and could remember a few i did not have it was great going back in years and remembering good races id had in the past i thanked tom for his time and wished him well as i think he is bye far the best pro lankshire has ever had imo after seeing tom off i noticed my wife helen had brought the mail in and there was a letter for me from the nhs dear sir sorry to inform you your recent tests have shown that you have asbestosis and need to come back to hospital for more tests i was totally shocked all this time i thought it was the birds that were making me short of breath how the hell did i get asbestosis then it dawn on me part of my job in ravenscraig was sealing the moulds with asbestos rope which was ramed home with a steel bar which caused the rope to break up and powder off it flew everywhere while i was leaning over it s t this explains a lot all this time wondering what the hell was wrong with me i know its not great but its better than what i thought it might be when they told me me i had a lung problem but it cant be to bad as i can still outrun most 40 year olds lol well some days
