Having a mare! let them up from 10 miles at 10.20. Had one after an hour and a half, then 3 20 minutes later and not a feather since. Gutted

Taking my 26 ybs about 10 miles in about an hour. Beautiful morning here, though normal service of rain is forecast for this afternoon!

Following on from this, what time would you feed on a friday before basketing for a race on sat? Also would you let them out on a friday morning? I remember my dad swearing by train them up to thursday and keep them in on a friday. That was 30 odd years ago and times change so interested in what people do today.

Unbelievable! How dare they suggest we actually keep birds just to feed bops! Shocking.

Last saturday

No mate, live in Herefordshire and we are racing sort of south east. First two races from Marborough SN8 1DU, then next two from Basingstoke RG22 6EZ

Hope some work back mate. I had one come back after 3 nights out.

5 weeks until my first race, starting basket training tomorrow, then going to give them a couple at about 2 miles the week after next and increase milage from there on. Have to admit am nervous about it!

My first season back for 15 years. I had a team of 31, got 26 left, if I could end up with 14 or 16 after racing it would give me half a chance of building a team for the future. Enjoying having them back in my life so much!

PLEASE ask around for me, this is my first season back, I have a base station(cheers cem) but I need a pad and cant afford the £125 unikon want for a new one

Once you're connected to wireless home hub etc go onto menu and kindle shop then type in free kindle books and there are over 100 on there - a lot of classics like Pride and Prejudice but quite a good selection.

Well done! Not such a happy Hereford fan, doomed!

From my recent experience of setting up from scratch, I would recommend buying a decent garden shed and converting it as buying a purpose built loft could prove very expensive. I'm sure like me you will find local fanciers and people on here more than generous in helping out with birds and equipment. This forum is also a fantastic place for gaining knowledge with every topic being covered at one time or another, I have spent many a happy hour reading various threads. Good luck and welcome to a fantastic sport!
