dextrose is a sweetner ,like a "false sugar" if you like ?

its the same up here Bill . its easier on "me" keeping the race team under wraps .

if thats all there is too it ,it looks like its the "dextrose" that makes them like it ,as oil on feed or pink minerals alone dont seem to have that hold over them ?

ive bought some from the supermarket 500g tin for £1.78 which would work out about the same price as Hormoform ? so it must be available in bulk and the additives cant be that expensive either ?? it also lists Protien at 11.8g and Fibre 7.2 g which is virtually the same as Hormoform anyway ??

is that the pin head oatmeal by itself Oldyellow ?? and if so , why or how is that good for them ??

having read the thread about "Hormoform" still cant see a "how to" ie 1 tablespoon of this and 2 teaspoon of that etc to make it and save myself some money .is pin head oatmeal by itself beneficial to the birds ??

i would be a little more hopefull , i would be tempted keeping the others locked up for a few days too Bill,in case its the visitor thats causing the upset.

might be late for a decent one, have stayed at the Beechfield before ,which was ok for a short stay , and not a million miles from the show, staying at the Big Blue this time , further away ,but better facilities and reccomended , John Quinn only booked recently and his looked good .have known some turn up on a Friday and find a bed for the night quite readily .(if driving down take a sleeping bag ,you will be sure of somewhere to sleep then)
