  4. ive noticed a number of supplements available ,to apparently "boost" performance on a race day .Gem "flight-fuel" , V-L "boost x 5" ,Aviform "pre-race booster" etc ,etc . do you or have you used these ,if so ,did they work ... or not .all views welcomed.
  5. night TOOSHY .
  6. why do you think that was Tommy ?? reason for not clearing straight away ??
  7. thats interesting ,thanks for that Tommy.
  8. welcome , as in all walks of life ,theres always some-one trying to make a fast buck. you have birds already , look after them ,keep them healthy and see how they go .i wouldnt part with any money until youve learnt a little about the pigeon game first .and the very best of luck to you.
  9. SP or SU Amanda ?? if SU could try Mr Graham on 0131 6634038 .Pentland Fed Secretary.
  10. not us , very windy , plus the cocks all have a minimum of 2 races under there belt ,that will do now.
  11. morning TOOSHY , same here pal , but with a gusty wind .
  12. what about the weather ?
  13. clear blue skies , strong sunshine , with a cool wind.
  14. morning all .
  15. posted earlier today how he helped us out too KNOXJN called at the door this morn with our blue hen who had been injured ,and was away to take other strays .he is a superstar.
  16. the statement was along the lines of Gosshawks being shot by Game-keepers and shooting enthuiasts ,but not all shooters were bad ,theres some very good shoots out there. the Peregrine falcons are being killed by Pigeon Fanciers .the statement could be accepted legally by not naming all as bad in the first part . however the latter part of the statement is wrong in its generalisation .
  17. it was a bit of a "grey" area Colin , but i think STB has explained it very well .i now understand it a little better . and i agree with this statement ,in effect ,common sense should help to over-turn this rule with the aid of the Unions .its clearly out-dated and would help rather than hinder if changed.
  18. so those that do it out of common sense and a willingness to help are breaking the law ?? well i suppose many do break the law daily , running a red light and speeding but hey . surely if the driver has been given birds lost at a race and ring numbers are listed ,then it would only need to contact the club or fed for relevant documentation if needed or stopped ?? or is that too simple a solution Rob ??
  19. thats not up to me , maybe the person who informed me will ?? well questions need to be asked for sure TOOSHY. thanks OY , this is just the sort of help we need to give each other.
  20. after reading the 2nd day returns post , a few have mentioned birds turning up from a week or 2 previous races. i know a lot of birds are being brought back up country by un-seen folk ,who are going out of there way to help ,PMs off others who are willing to pick up from NEHU members etc,who themselves are going out of there way to collect SHU rung strays and pass them onto Transporter drivers and in turn liberate them close to home . there is also the exception to this ,i know a site member who had a crate of strays to come up ,they were given to "a certain transporter driver" at liberation site ,who done nothing more than liberate them then and there
  21. our blue hen was delivered to our door this morning by KNOXJN ,what a "superstar" going out of his way to help ,its much appreciated .
  22. happy birthday
  23. dry , cloudy ,cool, and very windy here.
