i agree with all above posts , the hawk does do a lot for losses despite taking the odd bird its the multitude which are scattered which is a greater curse .the other biggest factor in my opinion is "clashing" ,yes that old cherry , due to the majority of transport taking smaller numbers from localised areas ,libbing at diffrent times ,different directions etc .bring back the train all going in the same direction at the same time

no it doesnt look too bad Derek , but i like you had a bad toss 2 weeks before racing and lost 13 that day (1 back 4 weeks later in stray basket) so in effect with 4 taken off the loft we have lost 50 % of what we bred which isnae so good .

:emoticon-0138-thinking:i like these honest figures coming out , dont know if it will help us find the answers or not ?? race 1 sent 16 =had 15 home 1st 2nd 4th club .2nd race sent 42 had 35 home 10th club.3rd race sent 34 all home 1st 2nd 3rd club ,this weekend 4th race sent 33 now have 25 home was 2nd club ? so having sent 125 away and dropped 16 ,doesnt sound too bad really ,but personally i dont like losing them and would welcome any of them back .

had another but still 8 adrift was hoping this year would be better ........... it wasnt had the very same thoughts , and for the same reasons Rob , just wish i had the power of hindsight eh

it was Brian yes (un-fortunately) legs have repaired , but not the wing

have had it tough here yes ,am still 8 away from 33 sent ,heard some bad ones too 18 from 38 ,a 2 from 21 and many other combinations that were shocking ?? but in my opinion it wasnt the route as the main reason .

we still have ours .................... a month before racing was brought to us by a neighbour , found in another neighbours pond ,2 broken legs and a broken wing .doing a fine job of keeping the latebreds in the garden
