dont intend counting my "chickens" before theyve hatched , but should be a good few here too.

it was mentioned breifly at the AGM , but i was still making notes from the previous issue

put the 8 hens in this afternoon ,left them too it ,,,,,, but only 20 minutes later ,had to sort them out .had 4 pairs showing interest ,so locked those hens in the relevant box.put the other 4 hens with the cocks that looked a similar shape ,and thats it. will see how they look in the morning now ?

expecting a lot more over the weekend ,hopefully

un-sure to be honest will take a geuss at 8 old bird and 7 young ,but could be well wrong

i think photographs and examples of whats permitted and what is,nt would help too

was hoping to see egg-shells on the floor this morning , but no signs ? . have the old 1950,s style deep nest bowls in the race loft ,and as i was cleaning ,was sure i could hear some chirping ,found a pair of chicks under a tight sitting yearling cock.
