Old birds before breeding---at least 2 weeks.
Youngsters before they leave the nest.
I note some vets actually advocate 2 vaccinations for birds.
They nust be on commission to sell more vaccine.
There are many in the area where you live. They hunted and killed the breeding pheasants on the Blair Estate. They no longer breed pheasants there in open topped pens so there is no longer that food source.
They are very scruffy looking in close up.
I believe we are speaking about birds which are unrung. These cannot be tied to a sale of any kind and ownership cannot be proven. This also applies rings which have been tampered with. They are invalid.
Once again rubbish from yourself.
Please do not cloud the issue any further.
Thanks in anticipation
Most birds now travel in air conditioned transport.
Food and water is supplied in troughs inside the crates.
One of these was on show at Blackpool.
Did you not take time to view it?
I bought one at a squeaker sale in 2009 and raced him. He took a first, and second (beaten by loftmate) and a 7th in Club racing from 5 races. This is not the distance these birds are bred for but I think this is a quality pigeon.
This agrees with my perception.
I have always wondered why this is.
Do we require higher protein mixes because of the climate or is this just a notion the UK fancier has in his head?
I very much doubt if the RPRA will take any action but the best course of action available is to inform them that if this individual is allocated a stand next year we will collectively boycot the show.
Actually when I saw the condition of the birds and the price tag of £25 I thought few people would buy them.
I was obviously wrong
Absolutely right never won a race and never likely to.
Sorry I didn't buy some of them tumblers to release them from their torture.
A real feather merchant there.
No what they are thinking about is changing location and introducing some of these tumblers which were packed into crates for sale at £25 each.
That should be enough ;D
I think that the demand at auctions was not as high this year as previous years.
Therefore many of the birds sold for less than expected.
Maybe we saw the full affect of the recession in the auction rooms this year.
