  1. Superstar That seems the way doesnt it. some fanciers do extremely well with one type of birds and when they pass them on the new owners dont do so well, even in the hands of good fanciers, I think maybe some birds or strains just dont adapt to the new system put before them. John
  2. superstar calm down lad you said they were crap, no one mentioned you being a con artist john
  3. Ray what type is it and do you have any photos. Is it compatible with a digital imager john
  4. In reply to David It has been proven in past years that North Road results in more losses than South Road and good pigeons are lost. Here we are mid country and have flown both routes and North Is definately a harder route to fly... Why no one knows. John
  5. SJ You can time two birds on the same second using a T3. As Sec seen it twice this year. John
  6. Superstar If the Brasspenning where c**p Why did you SELL them, and too your mate aswell
  7. The RPRA should run a referendum on this same subject to see how much of the fancy is for or against ETS. Why should the RPRA one loft race use ETS. Answer honestly how many people would enter the one loft race if it was timed manually. If 20 birds arrived together if using manual timing then it may not necessarily be the first bird into the loft that wins it would be the first caught. If you are using the T3 and two or more birds arrive together you may not time the first bird in the loft but the one closest. So on the scenario is it fair to take a performance away from a bird IE 1st place just because you caught the bird nearest to you

    andrew

A pigeon is only worth what someone is willling to pay, if you are not happy with the price dont buy it. To some Andrew maybe inflating his prices but surely right or wrong that is up to him. He may well be learning the selling game and no doubt will make many mistakes. He does not seem to have agood name here but all these posts are here to be read so let the buying public decide. There are good and bad sellers all over and Stuart has been good enough to state how much he makes on a pigeon fair play, but if Andrew has a bird for sale it is up to him to put a price on it. Im no way defending his actions but everyone has a right to say deal or no deal.

  12. I was just wondering where do you all get your corn from has anyone got experience of running a store or supplying corn, and if so where do the supplies come from, and do you think it is a worthwhile venture Johnny
  13. Ribble Just by the picture? As I do not know the breeder?
  14. What would attract a person to buy a bird from this race, position it came in the hotspots and race or its breed. It seems all the Vandebeeles are going for high prices regardless of its position. Also apart from Mikes who has told us what it is bred off no one knows the parentage? John
  15. Does anyone know Mr R Haigh whose pigeon came third in the overall race? John
  16. Try a company called ARCO I bet they will be half the price, add pigeon to the reason and the price doubles like everything else. John

    ETS

TT it would be interesting for the RPRA to run a referendum to see just how many of the fanciers we would lose if it came in. i see your point on the rings but maybe it will make fanciers be more selective and keep fewer birds, and who knows this may mean fewer losses

    ETS

hi lads the way i see it pigeon racing has never been fair... full stop. Is having a partnership to time pigeons in not an unfair advantage over the single fancier.... of course it is Is it not unfair that the man or woman with the most money can buy the best birds Is it not unfair that the retired or unemployed can hang on when it comes to training where the working man if he cannot leave for training at 7-00am then the birds dont go. I personally feel it should be down to choice and lets move with the times. I agree something must be in place to try and help the lesser financially fortunate fanciers to be able to afford it. everything moves on so why not pigeon racing. In this time of trying to get fanciers to help out at marking nights surely ETS would only make this process quicker and easier. Our Scottish fanciers on here has having ETS made a difference to your marking nights? John
