  1. 40's a good age to be tomo. It's the age where you've learnt lots through making mistakes, but you know that you've got time to make more :-) Hope your birds sang happy birthday. Cheers :-)
  2. Now, everyone's on his case ;-D It's 'Carry On' territory :-)
  3. ;-D ;-D @ Ian and chriss. Other things slow as age speeds ;-)
  4. How forward of you ;-D ;-D
  5. Julie (1 ;-)) stay on the forum and ask about white (or, indeed any type of) pigeon. Lots of people who could point you in the right direction. You could even join a local pigeon club! Julie (2!! - guyfinross) I've reposted your message - hopefully give it more chance of being spotted :-)
  6. Hi. Please see message below from a non-fancier (Julie - 'gufinross') who has found a pigeon and is looking after it. Any help, guys??
  7. Julie (2), hope you don't mind, but as your post is going to get totally lost where it is, I'll 'quote' it on a new thread in the right place. It might get moved by a moderator later, but in the meantime, if I do it, your post might get noticed. I'll quote it in the lost & found area as a new post :-)
  8. 8) 8)
  9. I'm in absolutely no position to comment on clubs as I'm not even a member of one. But the original post is about Welsh fanciers/clubs. Is a public debate about these issues the best advert for Welsh clubs, or perhaps likely to put people off.
  10. LOL - you could sell ice to the Eskimos (or should I say Inuits, nowadays) ;-D Cheers ;-)
  11. Hey Julie, less than a dozen posts and you're hooked ;-D As I said to you off the forum, think about getting yourself some pigeons. You don't have to race them - maybe some nice white ones would look well in your stable yard. You might end up racing them ;-), but you clearly have an affinity with these birds, and I'd love you to experience a longer term relationship with them. It's so worth it, and they'll pay you back - just like your neds do :-)
  12. You might be right there ;-D h/she must be trying to tell me something :-)
  13. Yes, he is a poser ;-D His dad is even worse - he stands right up when I get the camera phone out :-)
  14. Sorry, just for posterity, a couple of pics of junior enjoying his outing yesterday evening:
  15. amar, so sorry this has happened to you and your birds. I can only imagine how it must feel, and am gutted for you :-(
  16. Glas you got it. Well packaged wasn't it!! I've sent you a PM with information that I meant to enclose with the food. I see he's flown off, but if he comes back to you (quite possible), at least you've got some variety waiting. Best wishes :-)
  17. That's good, so that they can sit and see the garden and surroundings and get their bearings. Remember to keep them hungry when going out and use food to entice them out and in. Well, that's one way, anyway :-)
  18. Yes, 'Pigeon in my kitchen' nearly was a novel wasn't it! This evening, we were looking at the top shelf in our kitchen and remembering that Blue Boy/Bluey adopted that a few months ago. We had to clear the whole area - not that there was much room in the kitchen with his temporary home - a hutch!!! What a difference now in his shed, going in and out every afternoon with his baby! I've learnt so much, thanks to people on Pigeonbasics, and am hooked. I'll never look back. Thanks for your very kind words, Freebird.
  19. I've led a sheltered life ;-D
  20. Crikey - never seen a pint glass with a stem on it before ;-D
  21. Surely you are not suggesting these fine specimens have ever been near a pie ;-D ;-D
  22. TTT What absolutely smashing looking birds. Beautiful. Hope you manage to find good homes for them. Good luck.
