Sorry to hear had that one time mesen lucky was early hours of morning got roof back on and didn't loose a bird , another time whole loft was in next doors garden lost a lot of birds then. Must be dam strong winds down there .

I look at it like this , my birds will go up no mater the wind / weather so if think there going to get a battering and there not up to it I'd leave them at home , but I seriously think that we all should be looking in to racing starting in May avoid fattening the bops up and if raced Saturdays and Wednesdays we'd soon catch up with the race programmes , but as mentioned elsewhere too many feds at same spots liberating with very little time between liberations and most from same areas batches returning back to site then another liberation smashing in to them plus the added crap weather and north east wind to contend with . No wonder lots of birds are missing from there lofts this weekend should of been cancelled , however I've had good returns .

Rest and a nice bath is the answer

If was building a new loft 2 x 2 and shutter board 8 x 4 sheets the more single pieces there is the more likely it is to leak and you can build it how yer like then
