    cold snap

just went out breifly and as went out of door steam was freezing as it hit my face from heating system outside its going to be a cold one tonight , must open the Glen Morangie to keep the cold out
  7. when i was a lad a few years ago i used to go down the allotments to watch the roller men and thats what he used to tell me if gets 1 or 2 out of 6 hes happy but he said you have to watch them , sad to say the allotment made way for new house a realy shame realy
  8. the reference on silence of the lambs was deep rollers and shallow rollers , your no supposed to pair two deep rolers together as they breed birds than cant control there dives / tumble / rolls , so i guess what your saying is right Ted
  9. my system is along same lines i must read the book again when i have time have a few videos to watch as well but never seem to get the time lol
  10. first you would need a licence to carry / transport lifestock , secondly you would need liability insurance and as only a small area covered i think you would have a problem making it break even , but i wish you all the best perhaps ask some of the other couriers what you need , good luck in your new venture
  11. was a nice reference to breeding rollers on the silence of the lambs film i think it was aimed at making the point they roll to the ground ineffect killing themselves but more graphic
  12. All the best Ted i hope you can contunue for many years to come yet but your health must come first
  13. whats there dropping like and how do they look ? i would get them swabbed and tested a bit of apple cider vinegar 5 ml per litre wouldnt go a miss
  14. great post Albear i also buy north road birds in that have flown Lerwick to add to my old strains these range from 420 mile to 500 mile winners

  16. no worries Ted
  17. sorry havent been able to help is your pc still playing up ?
  18. some birds are actualy better for having a night out my uncle said most of his good birds when he was flying had nights out , but theres some strains if you dont get on the day there gone and just give up , pigeons at this distances must have a great heart and a bond to the loft to enable this kind of flying and the lactic acid that must build up during flyte must be tremendous
  19. if you use your back button Ted you might see where its happened
  20. strange
